Description
SeaScape is an ideal property for exploring the Northumberland Coast. It is just 20 metres from the sea, right at the start of the popular walk to Dunstanburgh Castle. It was completely renovated in 2024, adding large windows to make the most of the magnificent sea views. Craster harbour is a 2 minute walk from SeaScape. Above the harbour is the Jolly Fisherman pub / restaurant and across the road, Craster's famous smoke house. The space SeaScape has been recently renovated to a very high standard. The spirit of the sea is captured through use of reclaimed marine artefacts - starting with the solid teak front door with a porthole window. The apartment has it's own private entrance from the shared hallway. This leads to an open plan kitchen, dining, living room. This opens onto the front through floor to ceiling windows. A picnic bench offers al-fresco dining to make the most of the views. There are two en-suite bedrooms, one double and one king. Each has its own wardobe and dressing space and french windows onto the walled garden, a real evening suntrap. The shared hallway contains an area for boots and coats; and a useful utility with washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing board and iron. The property has underfloor heating and addtional radiators / stove in each room. SeaScape is dog friendly. WiFi is included. Guest access The ground floor apartment is accessed through its own private entrance on the ground floor. The keys are available from the key safe by the front door. The entrance lobby, with utility, coat and boot storage, is shared with the host. There is parking for two cars directly opposite the property. Other things to note The property is ideally located for walks along the coast and National Cycle Route 1. The Jolly Fisherman is our local dining pub (5 mins walk), right on the harbour, overlooking the sea - it is advisable to book ahead. The famous 'Craster Kippers' are sold directly from the smoke house in the village, as well as crab sandwiches and other seafood. The Cottage Inn also serve meals and is a 15 minute walk in land. There are several more pub/dining places in the nearby village of Embleton.
