The treehouse...we’ll take it down someday. For now, enjoy the quiet of a night in the trees and the gentle sway of shared suspension. 32 stair steps above the ground and overlooking your private birch forest, the Fancy Ketchup Treehouse is a glamping experience in the trees. Bed loft, living rm The space Open floor plan with deliberate holes to let the trees grow through. The treehouse has two semi-sheltered levels in the trees: Lower Level - After a 32 stair ascension, welcome to birch tree balcony. The Entrance opens to the living room lower level of the Treehouse. Leather couch and rocker face a TV with DVDs. A microwave and mini fridge let you prepare simple meals. Kitchen table for 4 by a sliding door that opens onto the birch tree forest balcony. A small flush toilet W/C and sink are just off the entrance. Upper Bed Loft - Accessible by tiny house sized stairs, 2 full sized beds are nestled on a small bed loft that sleeps 4 people. Two operable windows for airflow, and one bed in reach of the tree’s bark. Stars lookout - atop the Pavillion, you’ll be able to see fantastic stars on a clear night. Pavilion - A sheltered fireplace, private for you and your group; and an outdoor kitchen when the microwave and minifridge in the treehouse just won’t do. Parking space - Parking for 2 vehicles at the base of the treehouse stairs. Yes!You can bring your camper if you want more space to spread out. The treehouse is NOT insulated. Bring warm clothes and sleeping bags in the winter to supplement the shelter and bedding onsite. There will be some water on your lower floor in the winter, spiders and the occasional summer bat if you’re not careful about shutting doors. Camping. But Glam. In the Trees. Guest access The top of the hill is private—all yours save occasional dogs and a spare hiker passing by. This includes the pavilion with fireplace and the treehouse and surrounding grounds. Use that crazy kadinazome swing thing. Glamping feeling grungy? Down the hill is a shared pool house bathroom shower—it’s brown and he’d sized near the main house. Hike the grounds down the hill but not past the driveway of the main house—this is where our neighbor lives. They like privacy. Other things to note Be safe. Drive slow. Call cabs or sleep it off. Ask for help if you need it.
