We live in the area and sometimes spend week ends and relax weeks in our apartment. We love walking, nature and weather condition in this part of Europe. Summer is not very hot, winter is the lovely season for walking and cycling accros white villages in the mountains, rivers and ravines. We like skiing. We live in the coast but we go very often in the ski season to Sierra Nevada, ( 1 hour driving distance to ski resort) so there are magnificent facilities. Almond trees bloomsons, orange and lemons valleys full of colour in the winter, sunset by the Mediterranen sea beaches are very beautiful. History villages, gardens, markets with fresh vegs and fish from the Motril Harbour, will be found in the area. Cheap price services in restaurants make possible a nice gastronomic experience. Tapas bar in Velez are cute, very friendly and wifi free. A choice of restaurants with good quality and prices are available within walking distance. For shopping we suggest Granada, or Motril Moll Alcampo, with big choice of everything you may need and free parking. Almuñecar, Nerja, or Malaga offer nice history visits and shopping facilities.
