Lava House on the Ocean

The Lava House overlooks the North Atlantic Ocean from every window in the living area and it's possible to see whales from the house, so bring binoculars just in case. It is nestled between a lava field and the sea. In 2025, our home underwent a complete renovation. The updates include warm hardwood floors, a brand-new moss-colored kitchen, new appliances, a new bathroom, and a loft space, which is great for reading or meditating, with a view of the Snaefellsjökull glacier. The space The house is approximately a two-and-a-half-hour drive from Reykjavík and about three hours from Keflavík International Airport. This house is 90 square meters and features two bedrooms, an additional reading and lounging loft, a fully equipped kitchen, a large living room with a smart TV (which includes a complimentary Netflix account), a dining table, and what we refer to as our Victorian sun room. The sunroom features all-glass windows, including two large windows that can be opened. Each bedroom features a queen bed. The aurora borealis - northern lights- are visible (whenever they are out) from the bedrooms, the loft window, and all common areas.
