Description

A boutique Grade II listed townhouse in the heart of Stamford, just steps from the High Street. Beautifully restored, Number 6 combines historic character with modern comfort, with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a log burner and a well-equipped kitchen. Perfect for couples, small groups, local weddings, Burghley visits and relaxed weekends enjoying Stamford’s shops, pubs and restaurants. The space Number 6 is a beautifully restored Grade II listed townhouse in the heart of Stamford, thoughtfully renovated to combine historic character with modern comfort. Original features sit alongside stylish, high-quality finishes to create a warm, welcoming and characterful place to stay. The house sleeps up to 6 guests across 3 bedrooms. There are two luxurious king bedrooms, while the third is a flexible bedroom set up as a double by default. The top floor bedroom has its own bathroom, while the other two bedrooms share a shower room, making the house especially well suited to two couples, small friendship groups, wedding guests or relaxed weekends away. Downstairs, the sitting room is cosy and comfortable, with a log burner, Smart TV and Sonos speaker for evenings in. The kitchen is compact but very well equipped, with quality appliances including a Neff oven, AEG induction hob, Bosch slimline dishwasher, microwave, fridge and Nespresso machine - ideal for breakfasts, light lunches or cooking properly if you decide to stay in. One of the best things about Number 6 is the location. The High Street is just a few steps away, with Stamford’s shops, pubs, restaurants and coffee spots all within easy walking distance. Burghley House is also nearby, making this a wonderful base for enjoying Stamford and the surrounding area. Guest access Guests have access to the whole house and private courtyard. The property features convenient keyless self-check-in, so you can arrive and settle in easily. Full arrival details will be shared before your stay. Other things to note As Number 6 is a historic Grade II listed townhouse, it has some of the quirks you would expect from an older property. There are uneven stairs, reduced head height in places, and a low doorway into the kitchen. These features are part of the character of the house, but they do mean it may not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility or for very young children. The house is arranged over several floors, so guests should be comfortable using stairs. The third bedroom is a flexible bedroom and is made up as a double by default. The two king bedrooms are the more spacious rooms, while the third bedroom is a little more compact. Up to 2 dogs are welcome by prior arrangement. Airbnb applies a £25 fee per dog. We ask that dogs are not left unattended in the property. Parking is usually straightforward for a central location. Free on-street parking is available overnight nearby on a first come, first served basis. There are also paid local car parks, and visitor parking vouchers may be purchased separately if required. The log burner is available for guest use. We do not routinely provide logs, although there may sometimes be kindling or a starter log available during the cooler months. This is a no-smoking property and not suitable for parties or events.
