**PLEASE READ THE WHOLE LISTING BEFORE BOOKING TO DETERMINE IF OUR ROOM IS WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR** We live and reside in the "Log House" which Mark helped build in 1976. The home needs updating (we know that) which we will get to later. Right now we are establishing an edible forest garden on 6 acres. We are a working farm with animals, nursery trees & an annual garden. We have two bedrooms (the Goat Room & the Chicken Room) off our living room with a shared bathroom down the hall. The "Goat Room" has a queen size bed, rocking/recliner chair, bedside table/lamp, & extra towel/blankets. Our other room, the "Chicken Room" has a queen bed (a single mattress for the floor), rocking chair, bedside table/lamp, & extra towel/blankets. Outside there are currently chicken, turkeys, and trees/plants for you to see. We live in a rural area surrounded by farmland so on occassion and despite our best efforts, a stray bug, spider or other nature-loving creature may wander inside, especially if a door is left open. Since this is a working farm/homestead, we are in and out of the house as the chores dictate & would appreciate an estimated time of arrival so we can plan when to be in the house to show you to your room. **If your estimated time of arrival changes, we would appreciate a message with your updated time of arrival.** You are free to roam the property and enjoy the animals & plants or you can join us as we do our chores. We love to share and talk about what we are doing. Sugar City is a quiet town, with family friendly neighborhoods surrounded by farmland. There is a family owned restaurant, a classic car museum, parks & a walking/biking path. We are 3 miles from BYUI (Rexburg), 1.5 hours from Jackson Hole (Grand Teton Ntnl Park), & Yellowstone Ntnl Park. Our property is located right around the corner from exit 338 into Sugar City from Hwy 20. There are plenty of dining options 3 miles away in Rexburg. Super WalMart is just up the road, right off Hwy 20.
