Cooper's Cabin at The Historic Osborne House

Cooper's Cabin in an 1860's restored cabin originally built on the Osborne property. It is the ideal spot to discover Spring City's stunning landscape on foot, by car, ATV or bicycle. Whatever your reasons - whether they be romance or relaxation, historical exploration, canyon or rock climbing adventure - your stay in Cooper's Cabin at The Osborne will remind you to slow your pace and savor life. The space Get away to Cooper’s Cabin, a recently restored pioneer cabin. It was found in ruins in the back corner of the property. The logs were numbered by Snow College’s Traditional Building Skills Institute and reassembled behind the The Osborne. This cabin, circa 1860, was probably standing during the Black Hawk War of which William Osborne was a veteran. The pioneers could not have conceived the luxuries we take for granted in Cooper’s Cabin. Approximately 200 sq. ft. Guest access Guests are encouraged to access the entire cabin, covered porch, patio and large picnic table just outside the cabin. Also, front yard and pasture are available upon request. Other things to note Just across Main Street from Cooper's Cabin at The Osborne is Apostle Orson Hyde's pioneer home. Two blocks north is Spring City's Center Street which one can take due east to head up the mountain pass along Spring City Canyon to Skyline Drive, an ATV paradise, and one of the highest roads in North America. There are numerous mountain trails to be explored along the way. If you prefer rock climbing, world class climbing is 20 minutes due west at Maple Canyon. Immediately south of Cooper's Cabin at The Osborne is Horseshoe Mountain Pottery with a 24-7 display of earthen wares which can be purchased using the honor system.
