Relax with the whole family, enjoy the lake (pontoon boat rentals down the street), play some golf at Turkeyfoot golf links, visit the Football HOF in Canton or drive down to Amish Country for a visit! We stocked our home with many supplies for you to just bring your bare necessities and enjoy a peaceful setting in this great neighborhood. Restaurants minutes away or a kitchen where you can cook your own meals, comfy beds, 2 full bathrooms, Cable TV with Sports channels. Come and be our guest! The space We highly recommend that anyone interested in booking our Cozy Cottage would read through ALL of the listing prior to booking with us. This home has been renovated to welcome our guests. Three bedrooms and we can accommodate 8 people very comfortably. Main floor: Sleeper Sofa couch with full size bed. Upstairs: One king bedroom, one queen bedroom, and one bedroom with two XL Twin beds. All the appliances, dishes, towels, coffee bar items are all available for you to use. Our deck patio furniture can sit 4 as it sits, but we have great fold out chairs stored away (total of 4- you can see one of them in the pictures) if you need to use them. Above the washer and dryer there is a 3 door supply cabinet. The door to your left is where you can find all the supplies we provide for your stay. What can you expect to find in our house? -This rental includes a kitchen with a fridge/freezer, sink, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, blender, hand mixer, coffee maker, french press, electric tea kettle. Essentials like plates, cups, glass cookware, pots/pans, 6 qt Instapot, utensils, & paper towel will be provided for your use. (Please note: when using the dishwasher, set it to 1 hour wash with heated dry and press START.) -Along with ground coffee, half and half creamer, sweetener, hot chocolate mix, true lemon and a great selection of tea are provided. -Cooking spray, olive oil, salt/pepper are provided. -A hair dryer and showering essentials are provided in each bathroom. Bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths and make up towels can all be found in the linen closet on the second floor. Each bedroom has a designated closet with hanger storage, a wire rack shelving for your organization purposes and a shoe rack (twin bedroom has no shoe rack. There is also an iron, an ironing board and a foldable laundry rack if you need to hang anything to air dry in the laundry room. -A few family friendly games and a deck of cards are available for your use. -Guests can park anywhere on the side of the house, right under the big tree there's a gravel parking area; it is free street parking. TECHNOLOGY: -A flat screen 55 inch TV is in the living room. You can log in with your own subscription to streaming services such as Netflix, but you can also watch cable TV. We have a regular subscription with Sports channels included. There are 2 flat screen TVs upstairs. One in the King bedroom and one in the Queen bedroom. They are both Roku TVs where you can just sign in to your subscriptions to enjoy your favorite shows. Please, leave the TV remotes where you found them. -Wifi is provided. -A washer/dryer is available for your use in the laundry room. ADDITIONAL INFO: We welcome guests of all backgrounds! However, we will only be accepting booking requests from: -- Guests who are actually staying in the property along with additional guests. --AirBnB users who are "verified" and who already have positive reviews from other hosts. --Renters that are above the age of 25. --Renters who are not bringing pets. --A maximum of eight guests per reservation. --Renters who are not throwing gatherings/events. (We do have cameras installed in the porch/deck area.) We value our relationship with our neighbors, so events/gatherings/parties are NOT to be held by guests. In order to keep the home in excellent condition for future guests, we are firm on these rules. We apologize for this inconvenience and thank you for your understanding. SAFETY INFO: --Note that if you are bringing infants/babies, the house is NOT baby-proofed. (Furniture is not secured to walls, outlet blockers are not included, cabinets/drawers are not locked, etc.) We also do not have a pack and play/portable crib. ***Guests will need to bring their own and are solely responsible for keeping a close eye on children.*** --Note that the steps in the home are a bit steep. (The home was built in the 20's, there is a lot of character and things you don't find in modern day houses in this house.) If you have non able-bodied guests staying with you, we recommend considering whether or not our house is the best fit for your needs. Please use caution, take your time and use hand railings when climbing up/down stairs. -- We have fire extinguishers throughout the house, smoke and carbon dioxide detectors. CHECK-IN/ CHECK OUT and CANCELLATION INFO: --Guests who book will receive detailed check-in instructions and a key code for entry on the morning of their scheduled arrival. All of this will be communicated through AirBnB messenger. --Check-in is between 4 and 10 p.m.; guests must check out by 10 a.m. so that we can clean/prepare for our next renters before they arrive. (Note: We will try to accommodate early arrival/late check out requests, but often times, the cleaning crew requires the full time between guests if we have back-to-back bookings.) --Our cancellation policy is moderate. Guest access You will have access to the parking spaces, a deck, a porch, first floor and second floor of the house. Basement is not accessible to guests, we use it as a storage. Other things to note Our 100 year old colonial style home has a lot of character. Over the years people made additions and changes to it. There are different levels and you have to watch your step in a few rooms. We have provided signs to warn you of such changes and make you aware of them. We run on a well and septic tank system so do not flush anything other than toilet paper down the toilets. Also, we have a Brita filter (pitcher) for you to use to filter the tap water even more if you wish. Unfortunately our fridge is not connected to a hose yet so we have provide you with ice cube trays if you need ice while staying at our home. Our bathroom upstairs is a bit on the small side but is very charming, with a nice shower, updated plumbing. We have a room in the house where we provide you with a shoe cubby, a desk for a designated work space and the laundry as well. In that room we keep the supplies for you to use if needed during your stay (note that this is a one time supply, if you are staying longer than a week you may have to purchase your own supplies after you run out of these items): 2 swiffer pads (use with wet jet swiffer) 5 trash bags 12 small trash bags (for smaller trash cans throughout the house) 8 gallon size zip lock bags 8 sandwich sized zip lock bags 1 flashlight 1 first aid kit 2 pods of Tide for laundry 2 pods of All (free and clear) for laundry 4 dryer sheets 2 pods of cascade for dishwasher (use setting to wash for 1 hour and heated dry) 1 roll of packing tape 1 can of mosquito repellent 1 sponge for washing dishes. 4 extra toilet paper rolls 2 extra paper towel rolls We also have broom/dust pan, vacuum, mop with bucket and wet jet Swiffer. On the desk we have pens, pencils, post it notes, pencil sharpener, tape, scissors and chargers for your devices. Our home is simple, cozy and filled with lots of amenities and things available for your use to make your stay a breeze!
