Moonlight Bay Apartment #1 is a spacious, 2 bed/2bath upstairs apartment located on beautiful Seaside Drive, just a 1-minute walk from the popular surf spot, Freights Bay. Enjoy a large, enclosed garden with mature trees, outdoor shower and plenty of room for your rental car, and surfboards. Enjoy access to pool and beach lounges at nearby hotel. My husband and I live on property along with our 4 dogs, Buster, Rose, Finn and Tilly. Moonlight Bay is a fully fenced and gated property. The space Moonlight Bay has been our family home for the last 25 years. Situated on Seaside Drive, in the tranquil neighborhood of Atlantic Shores, it is just a 1-minute walk to Freights Bay, the top surfing spot in Barbados for all ages and a 10-minute walk to Miami Beach. The property is peaceful, and it features four roomy apartments set within a very large, fully enclosed tropical garden that is beautifully landscaped. My husband and I live on property with our four dogs. Apt#1= short-term holiday rental Apt#2= short-term holiday rental Apt#3= long-term rental (occupied) Apt#4= owners apartment Moonlight Bay #1 is a large and spacious apartment located upstairs, capable of comfortably accommodating four people. The bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning units. The lounge area and kitchen feature an open-plan design, creating inviting open-air living spaces. Master bedroom is equipped with one king bed, plenty of cupboard space with hangers, an electronic safe and ensuite bathroom with rainfall shower. The second bedroom is equipped with two twin beds, plenty of cupboard space with hangers, and a spacious ensuite bathroom with shower. High ceilings throughout. Spacious, completely covered patio offering stunning views of the Caribbean Sea, and garden featuring a marble top dining table that accommodates 6 people for delightful "al fresco" meals with loved ones. Additionally, Moonlight Bay boasts a second uncovered patio, ideal for enjoying the stars at night. Generous, open-concept lounge area featuring a 55-inch smart TV (with complimentary Netflix), a comfortable sofa, and two armchairs. This lounge area leads out to both patios, creating a breezy and cool atmosphere with plenty of room for everyone to relax. Additionally, you'll find books, playing cards, and board games for your entertainment. Spacious open-plan kitchen that comes fully equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, electric stove and oven, front loading electric washer and dryer, electric kettle, coffee maker, pots and pans, bakeware, dishes, glasses, and silverware. Fire extinguisher and smoke alarm. Moonlight Bay is a fully enclosed and gated property, featuring surveillance cameras for added security. It includes an outdoor shower and ample secure parking on-site. Highlight ~ Moonlight Bay guests are welcome to enjoy complimentary access to the swimming pool and beach lounges at our family-run hotel, Coconut Court, situated in Hastings, Christ Church. Guest access We strive to greet all of our guests in person upon their arrival. However, there may be times when this is not possible, but we will always inform you of this before your arrival. Electric Security Front Gate ~ operation instructions will be provided for all confirmed guests prior to arrival. Keyless smart lock with code provided prior to arrival. Fingerprint access to front door lock provided after check-in if preferred. Directions from the Airport ~ We are located on the corner of Seaside Drive and Enterprise Coast Road, just after the Freights Bay Sea Window. Directly opposite the Cotton Bay Close condominium complex. There is a vintage red post box in our garden wall, on the corner of Seaside Drive. Moonlight Bay Apartments comprise of two large pink houses. There is an electric front gate with a long driveway. There are two large, mature trees in the front garden. The name of our homes “Moonlight Bay” and “River” are clearly marked on the entrance/garden walls next to the gates. We are happy to arrange for a trusted taxi driver ($) to meet you at the airport on arrival, please let us know. Other things to note My husband and I reside on the property with our four dogs (in a completely enclosed, separate garden). Our daughter Kim manages guest services. Our apartments are tailored for couples and families, so if you're seeking a venue for a party or a large group, we may not be the right fit for you. HOTEL ACCESS: Moonlight Bay guests are welcome to enjoy complimentary access to the swimming pool and beach lounges at our family-run hotel, Coconut Court, situated in Hastings, Christ Church. REGISTERED GUESTS ONLY: Please note that unregistered guests are not allowed in the apartment or on the property at any time unless prior permission has been granted. OCCUPANCY: Maximum occupancy in the apartment is 4 guests. QUIET HOURS: We kindly ask that you keep noise to a minimum between 10pm and 7am to help maintain a quiet and peaceful atmosphere for everyone around you. No parties or events are permitted. ENERGY USAGE: All appliances, including ceiling fans, lights and air conditioning units must be switched off when leaving the apartment. Our pricing is based, in part, on the average use of utilities. Leaving the air conditioning unit on day and night, even when you are out, and/or bedroom doors left open while air conditioning is operating, is not normal usage. Air conditioning is for use while you are in the bedroom(s) only. Please turn on the air conditioning unit(s) ten minutes before bedtime to cool down the bedroom. This is all that is required. Air conditioning unit(s) that are left on indiscriminately will be switched off from the power supply. If bedroom windows and doors are left open, while the air conditioning units are working, they will overheat and break down, and a technician will need to be called in to repair the unit at your expense. Please be respectful and comply with this simple request to reduce energy usage. CLEANING FEE: US$100 per clean. A mandatory cleaning is needed once a week, which includes changing the bed linens along with beach and bath towels. Airbnb only handles the collection of one housekeeping service, which is the end-of-stay clean. Therefore, guests staying for more than seven days, will need to pay for any additional housekeeping services through Airbnb's 'Request Money' feature or in cash upon check-in. NOTE: On the day when housekeeping is scheduled, we kindly request that you vacate the apartment for at least 3 hours. This allows the housekeeper to clean safely and replace towels and bed linens. BEACH TOWELS: Provided HAIRDRYER: Available on request IRON & IRONING BOARD: Available on request INFANT HIGHCHAIR: Available on request INFANT COT: Available on request ESSENTIALS: We provide a complimentary starter pack which includes coffee, tea, non-dairy creamer, sugar, salt, toilet paper, kitchen towels, garbage bags, washing up liquid, a dish sponge, laundry detergent and bath soap. SMOKING POLICY: No smoking or use of illegal substances permitted anywhere inside the apartment, on the patios or on the property. SURFBOARDS & BICYCLES: Please store these in the garden. No surfboards or bicycles are allowed inside the apartment or on the patios as this causes damage to the walls and furniture. CANDLES: No open flames, burning of candles and/or incense is permitted anywhere inside the apartment, on the patio or on the property. PETS: No pets are permitted. WATER: the water from the tap in Barbados is safe to drink and we place a jug of water in the fridge and ice cubes in the freezer for you on arrival. GROCERIES: If you require any grocery items to be placed in your apartment prior to arrival, then please let us know and we will pick them up for you, no problem. WATER TANKS & PUMP: Moonlight Bay has a storage capacity of 1300 gallons of water along with an electric pump system. Occasionally, our area of Atlantic Shores experiences water outages, but when this occurs, our guests remain unaffected and continue to enjoy running water.
