Memories for life to be made with family and friends guaranteed! TIRED OF LATE AFTERNOON CHECK IN? We're Different! Come as early as 11AM. The house may not be ready until 4PM, but you can come and park in our driveway, grab some beach chairs and head to the beach! You beat traffic, avoid parking fees and enjoy beach fun your first day! The space Toes in the sand at bottom of our beachfront stairs and few more steps to beach! On your return, you may rinse off the beach at multiple stations at stairs, or the enclosed shower with hot/cold water, under the home! Ocean & beach views are plenty from the well stocked kitchen, dining and living areas! Master up has even better views! The large partially covered main deck, offers wave & people watching, fresh air and Vitamin Sea! Master bedroom on the main level has queen size bed and its own full bath. Utility room has washer/dryer, cleaning equipment and additional supplies in upper cabinet; first aid kit, flashlights, toiletries, paper goods! Head upstairs to a cozy work space with a view to die for, and three spacious bedrooms! Bedrooms 2 & 3 each have two full beds and share a full bath in the hallway. Master bedroom upstairs overlooks the beach and has a queen size bed , full bath with walk in shower, and a private deck. Did we mention the view? Guest access The entire home is yours to enjoy! Occasionally, we allow friends and / or family to park in driveway to avoid Town parking fees. They are instructed to park without blocking in any vehicles, use street to access beach to avoid interrupting your stay. We'll give you a heads up if and when this will happen! Other things to note PLEASE READ! It took me 4+ hours to compile these! So take 2 minutes to read, please! We supply hand soap, paper towels, trash bags, laundry, dish & dishwasher soap. Cleaning Fee is not marked up! It includes linen rental, sheets, towels etc. and the cost of after stay cleaning! Linens come bulk, wrapped in plastic to ensure cleanliness. You’ll have to make beds on your arrival day! Sorry, but it’s our way to help your confidence that you aren’t using someone else’s stuff! ***Hint*** We find making our beds before we begin to enjoy the first sunset is best! Who wants to make a bed at bedtime? GOTTA SAY IT… Tampering with, Altering or Disabling any electrical devices and or appliances in and on the property is disrespectful and unlawful and may lead to immediate eviction and prosecution. AIR CONDITIONING / HEATING There are two thermostats; downstairs on living area wall and upstairs in the hallway. Thermostats are set on a predetermined schedule to keep most people comfortable. If you need to adjust for your comfort, please do. AC can’t be adjusted below 68°F. It may cause you much discomfort if units ice up, stop working and possibly damage the unit. Do not adjust Heat below 60°F. This is to prevent any water pipes from possibly freezing. If any AC/Heat unit fails, please notify us immediately and we will schedule a technician ASAP. Keep Exterior Doors Closed to Avoid AC Unit Failure Due to Excess Humidity and Overworking! ***Hint*** The thermostat will return to schedule throughout the day/night, so you may have to readjust as needed for your comfort. We LOVE dogs! Oak Island LOVES dogs! Our home is dog friendly and…. We provide: -Dog dishes in the pantry - Separate towels in laundry for drying pups & their paws -A gated deck to enjoy the view without wandering away - Dispenser with poop bags at the bottom of the stairs to the beach Two dogs maximum per each reservation. The fee is $200. This fee is invoiced with reservation. We INSIST dog owners respect the home! * Dogs are NOT ALLOWED on any furniture including beds! * Crate them if you leave them alone. * Service dogs are absolutely welcome and must remain under guest control and not be left unattended without prior approval. * Never leave them on deck or in any room in home unattended! PLEASE & THANK YOU! If there is evidence of excessive pet hair on furniture, blankets or beds, or other pup damage, photos will be sent to the guests & Airbnb along with an additional $200 (minimum) fee! RESPECT A few of our neighbors are full time residents and great people! No loud gatherings! Quiet time is 10PM -8AM. Only registered guests are allowed to stay overnight. Absolutely no smoking in home! If you smoke outside, have at it…but please dispose of butts properly! Grab a bucket, fill it with sand for an ashtray, then throw in a trash bag before departing. No flicking butts on property! Beach rules are posted in House Manual on this site and you must check Town of Oak Island website for now for additional rules and fines. Turtle Nesting on the Island is HUGE and comes with additional rules: * Exterior lights off when not being used, it confuses them! * Nests: - Are marked on beach! Do not mess with them! Believe it or not, it’s a felony! - If you are lucky and find an unmarked nest, contact the Oak Island Sea Turtle Protection Program: okiseaturtle org. They’ll love you! - Check their website for nests hatching times and locations! Seeing a nest “boil” with the little buggers scrambling to the water is a no cost, lifetime memory for all ages! Home has a propane gas grill ground level. Use it, don’t abuse it, please! CLEAN it and COVER it after you use. Please! If you grill, use smart! No grilling on deck! Windy days make for unsafe and frustrating grilling anywhere! Trash cans are rolled out to the curb by a local vendor the evening before pickup and returned to their corral after pickup. Respect the ocean! Rip currents took the lives of 4 people in early Summer 2022! Oak Island Water Rescue website is a must for guests to check hourly! QR Code for scanning tide conditions is posted in all parts of the home! Check in time is 4PM. Big hand on 12, little hand on 4! All said... You'll love the place!
