The "Magnolia House" is a 1 bed small cottage in the quaint town of Mt Gilead in the Uwharrie Natl Forest region. While not waterfront, the property is centric to so much fun! Use as a base camp to boating, fishing, hiking/jeep/mountain bike trails & more! Perfect for a couple or small family, its small footprint is efficient w/a Queen bed, a twin loft overhead, plus a full sleep sofa in the LR. Pet (max 2) & trailer friendly circular drive. Optional dock available offsite. See below. The space This is an older home with unique character. It packs a lot into its 480 sq ft space. To note for those with multiple adult guests: the bathroom is accessed through the bedroom. There is a washer and dryer on site for added convenience. A boat slip is available for an additional cost of $20 per day; $125 week or $200/month during stays at Magnolia House. The dock location is approx a 7 min drive from the house and is 2 mins from Lilly's Bridge Marina boat launch. Parking at dock is limited to 1 vehicle. More info will be supplied at booking if requesting slip usage. Please notify through a message if you would like to rent the slip with your reservation. The slip charges would be done separately after booking. Guest access Guests have access to the entire home and yard. Boat slip/dock users agree that our personal watercraft and belongings on site are off limit to guest use. Other things to note If guests are open to it, we can provide information on any local events happening during their stay. Our goal is to provide clean, comfortable, safe and affordable accommodations. Nothing super fancy or bougie here... but you'll find the house well stocked and ready to welcome you! (To that end, note that Mount Gilead is a small, quiet town...if you are looking for a night scene or Starbuck's around every corner, it isn't here, lol). We welcome and have hosted various lengths of stay, but only through the platform please. No mail delivery to home for guests.
