Escape to this 2-bedroom log cabin on Wet Beaver Creek in the heart of cowboy country! Just minutes from the hustle-bustle of Sedona, this tranquil, unique, and very private property is a true creek-side gem. Come prepared to unwind...soak in the stream, read a book, toss horseshoes, grill a steak, or simply relax on the deck and watch the birds and deer. Fall asleep to the sound of the rapids and in winter, cozy up to a crackling fire indoors or out. Welcome to Beaver Creek Cabin! Beaver Creek Cabin offers 1250sf of rustic cowboy comfort, so there’s plenty of room to kick yer boots off and make yourselves right at home. Two bedrooms and two baths add to our guests’ comfort and after a long day of exploring, you’ll appreciate soaking in the jetted spa in the master bath! The cabin’s fully equipped kitchen (including an InstaPot and an oil-less air fryer) comes with everything you’ll need to whip up a panful of tasty vittles; don’t forget to look inside our liquor cabinet for assorted barware and fun serving dishes! There are two TV’s with DISH and NETFLIX, plus Alexa can play your favorite music. We’ve also got board games and cards. There are two fireplaces indoors (one wood-burning and one gas-log) and two fire pits outdoors for chilly evenings. Directly behind the cabin are steps that will take you down to our private year-round creek below, which can be 3’ to 5’ deep in spots depending on rainfall and snow melt. The creek is stocked once or twice a year with bass and trout, which are mostly 3” to 5” long…not big enough to pan fry, but it’s relaxing and fun to watch them feeding and swimming around. Inside our Guest Closet you’ll find float tubes with a portable compressor so you don’t blow out a lung trying to inflate them, plus there are horseshoes and a corn hole game. Towels for the creek are located inside the linen closet in the cabin. There are plenty of places outdoors for relaxing and the birds and deer are plentiful here. As you’re driving through the neighborhood, please watch for deer crossing the road or standing alongside. This is a quiet neighborhood; we ask that you please be respectful of our neighbors. Guests are welcome to the entire property, including the creek, which is also our private property. Please respect our neighbors by staying within our property boundaries. Typically we will not be on property during your stay, but are always available to meet guests if requested. We understand that especially for long-term stays, it's sometimes helpful to have the host available at check-in. We're happy to stop by if you'd like us to, but otherwise we'll let you have your space and privacy :) The small town of Rimrock is an interesting mix of ranchers, cowboys, Native Americans, artists, winter visitors, retirees, and other hard-working folks, many of whom work in Sedona. Our cabin is located on a winding, shady, quiet little road that runs along Wet Beaver Creek. Use caution: deer frequently cross the road, especially in late afternoon. There's no grocery store in Rimrock (the nearest grocery is Basha's, in Camp Verde, which is just two exits down the interstate), but you'll find a Family Dollar and Dollar General that carry many grocery items. There are also a handful of small businesses, antique shops, and three restaurants in the area: El Patio for Mexican, Thai Gardens for Thai, and Robbie's bar and grill, bakery, and ice cream shop. We love Rimrock and the Verde River Valley with its rich history and scenic beauty. Most visitors come to see Sedona, but there's so much more to see and do here! Just 2 miles from the cabin is Montezuma Well and its ancient cliff dwellings. It's free to go and you can also hike here. About 5 miles away is Montezuma Castle, a National Historic Site with some of the best preserved Indian cliff dwellings in the southwest. At this same exit you'll find the Cliff Castle Casino and Storytellers Steakhouse for fine dining. Drive about five minutes further and you'll arrive at the Camp Verde Visitor's Center and Museum (it’s free) plus Fort Verde State Historic Park, a former U.S. Army fort housing officers and soldiers in the 1870's and 1880's. If you like antiquing, Camp Verde has not one, but two antique malls, plus another antique and cowboy emporium located in downtown Camp Verde. Yay! Shopping! Not far away is the historic mining town of Jerome, which is literally built on the side of a mountain. Stop for lunch at the Haunted Hamburger - the view from there is fantastic. You can also visit Jerome State Historic Park, which features the Douglas Mansion. It’s worth the tour. You'll find the town of Cottonwood situated below Jerome; they have a fun downtown area with plenty of shopping and excellent dining. Cottonwood is also the home of the Blazin' M Ranch, which features a western frontier town and dinner with cowboy show. Next door to Cottonwood is Clarkdale with the Verde Canyon Railroad and Tuzigoot National Monument. Just a few minutes away is Cornville with its plethora of wineries. Drive a few minutes more and you're in Sedona. Try the Extreme Pink Jeep Tour - it's awesome! As you can see, there are a bunch of historic little ranching and mining towns all nestled up against one another here in the Verde Valley. Our neighborhood in Rimrock is very quiet and safe. Lying in bed with the big glass sliding door open, all you'll hear is the water running through the rapids in Beaver Creek. Deer walk up and down the street and cut through our property to reach the stream. Though you're right in town, it won't feel like it, especially when you're at the creek. Our neighbors are very nice, friendly and respectful of one another; most are retired and many are now artists and writers. Guests may park underneath the carport or in the driveway. This is a very quiet neighborhood and a great place for a nice walk. Please watch for deer as you come and go in your automobile; they are often crossing the road or standing alongside it, especially in the late afternoon and early evening. This is a lovely neighborhood for walking. If you turn to the right, the road will take you to Sycamore Park, which also has a good swimming hole nearby that's perfect for floating. The ancient white-barked Sycamore trees in this area are amazing! If you turn to the left, the road will take you past a small preserve and on up the hill. Guests will need a car to get around Rimrock and points beyond.
