Creative Retreat: Cozy, Bright + Steps to the lake
Description
Welcome to your Creative Retreat by Lake Huron! Unwind in a bright, art-inspired hideaway just steps from Kincardine’s sandy shoreline. Whether you’re a solo traveler, couple, or creative soul seeking inspiration, this cozy retreat offers the perfect blend of comfort and coastal charm. * High-speed WiFi (for work or streaming) * Dedicated workspace for writing, art, or remote work We’ve designed it with comfort and inspiration in mind, so you can fully relax and make the space your own. The space When you’re not walking on the beach, you can explore your inner artist. The Music Parlour Room has a vinyl record collection to explore and musical instruments to play. The Arts & Crafts has loads of creative activities to entertain the kids and the adults. Rock painting is very relaxing and one of my favourite things to do when I visit. The second-floor Writing Room is filled with art books to inspire, and art materials to turn that inspiration into your very own creation. Stained glass transom windows on the second floor were commissioned by local glass artist, Margriet Van Erp. She called the series: Beveled Garden from Sunrise to Sunset. Guest access Entire house Other things to note Walk to beaches and to the shops, cafes, and restaurants of charming downtown lakeside Kincardine. Enjoy morning coffee, lunch, dinner, and evening cocktails on the front veranda. Don’t forget about the incredible sunsets because this is Ontario’s west coast, after all. But don’t leave when the sun disappears because the light show really begins about 10 minutes later. Trust me, you will not be disappointed. And the post-sunset colour show is different every night. In addition to the amazing beach, summertime in Kincardine has many unique features and events including a bagpipes & drums parade every Saturday in the summer, nightly bagpiper playing in the lighthouse at sunset, music festivals, street markets, car shows, and so much more. Winter is also amazing because Lake Huron is a talented sculptor. The snow and ice drifts and flows along the shoreline are very unique. Social media worthy pics await!
