Relaxed and cozy garden studio in bucolic setting
Description
The studio is located in the quiet northwest corner of Connecticut and a short drive to most of the area’s attractions. Most guests come here to take in the scenic beauty, hike the trails, ski Mohawk mountain, enjoy art and history, and explore the wineries and local farms. Our family (2 dads and 5 year old twins) live in the main house which is attached to the studio. We are often always around and would love to welcome you to our property and help make your time here special. The space The garden studio is an addition to the early 19th c. house with private entrance & ensuite bathroom. It is a ground level room beneath the main house’s sunroom. It has three large pairs of French doors that open onto a stone terrace. It is decorated in a simple country style with European influences with views west, over the main lawn and gardens, and east, over the pond. A sitting area is on the west side of the room (and outdoor dining table and chairs) for morning coffee. Natural stone floors, crisp cotton percale linens & walkin shower with L’occitane products. There is a closet with an antique table, small refrigerator & nespresso. Guest access Guests have private access to the studio during their stay and are welcome to explore the grounds. There is a large pond, a working cut flower garden and a lovely brook a short walk from the studio. Guests are welcome to explore any part of the property, (but please be aware not all areas are maintained consistently).
