Ekelund - idyllic family house on the waterfront

Recharge your batteries at this unique and quiet seaside accommodation. Here you can wake up to the sound of waves and enjoy your coffee on the jetty. In the rose garden you can lean back and enjoy the wonderful scent of roses. And of course there is the possibility to barbecue and eat outdoors, whether you have dinner on the jetty or in the garden. The property, called Ekelund, is located on the beautiful island of Tysnes in Sunnhordland, only 45 minutes by car and 35 minutes by ferry from Flesland (Bergen 50-60 min). The space To get to the island there is a ferry ride of 35 minutes. We recommend a rental car as there is very little public transport. The house is over two floors. The first floor has two entrances, a laundry room, a newly renovated kitchen, two living rooms (TV/dining room and living room overlooking the lake) and a north-facing terrace. Both entrances have space where you can sit and enjoy the sun. The second floor has a newly renovated bathroom, two large bedrooms with double beds and a smaller bedroom with a double bed. In addition, a camp bed can be placed in one of the rooms used as a home office upon request. There is also a desk for those who want to combine travel with home office. The property has a large garden, an idyllic patio in the rose garden, beach line with rocks and jetty. It is recommended to start the day with a cup of coffee on the jetty when the weather allows. Guest access Guests will have access to all rooms except one that is used for storage. Free parking. Other things to note The beautiful island Tysnes has many hiking gems. There are many routes to Tysnessåta. The trip from Dalen, via Gjerstadstølen to Tysnessåto 753 masl is a great experience. At the top you have views in all directions. It is recommended that you have a rental car as there is little public transport on the island.
