Unplug on an Organic Flower Farm

Above the garage of the main farmhouse,is a comfortable ensuite apartment. 40 min. to Nashville, near State parks,kayaking,zip lines,&historic sites.This self contained space has it's own private entrance, one cozy queen bedroom, bathroom w/shower, & washer/dryer combo, a full kitchen, comfy living room, queen sized sofa bed, electric fireplace, & private star gazing/birdwatching balcony.The grounds are home to abundant flowers, fruits,veggies,livestock,pets,wildlife& hundreds of native plants. The space This is a private en-suite apartment that we call "The Birdhouse". Situated above the garage of the main farmhouse. There is one cozy queen bedroom, one bathroom with shower, and washer/dryer combo, a fully equipped kitchen, Berkey water filter, comfortable living room, A/C, an electric fireplace, and a private stargazing/birdwatching deck. Guests are welcome to explore the gardens, and creek at their leisure, and use the fire pit on request. We are about 40 minutes from Nashville, and within 10-15 minutes of Montgomery Bell State Park, and Narrows if the Harpeth State park where you will find endless hiking trails, kayaking and canoeing (outfitters nearby if you can’t bring your own boats), zip lines, and adventure courses. Also nearby are abundant historical sites including Mound Bottom, and the Montgomery Bell tunnel. Please note that some of the joys of this property for some, may not be everyone’s cup of tea. There is no WiFi, or t.v., so bring your hotspot if you need internet access. This is a small, organic permaculture flower farm. There are animals onsite, including roosters and peacocks that make noise at times. We are happy to provide white noise machines to help with this. Although there are animals outside, we do not ever allow animals in the guest apartment space. We also have 2 labradors, and cats that may approach you outdoors during your stay. If you are allergic, or not a fan of animals, a farm stay may not be enjoyable for you. We cannot host your personal pets along with you on your stay due to safety concerns for our chickens, pets, and wildlife. We are surrounded on 3.5 side by forests, creeks, and very close to the Harpeth river, so there are bugs here. We welcome them as part of the diversity, but along with the delightful fireflies, and peaceful crickets, there can be noisy katydids and cicadas, and pesky insects as well. We provide an amazing natural bug spray for your time outside. Please also be aware that this is a non smoking property. This is an ideal retreat for someone who wants to be immersed in nature on a property that is operated with land stewardship and all natural practices as a high priority, but still wants to see and experience the “off the beaten path” attractions surrounding Nashville. Guest access Guests will receive a temporary gate code to use to enter the property during their stay, and have access to “The Birdhouse” up a set of private stairs to the balcony. We offer contactless check in with a lock box code provided before your stay.They will have access to the entire en-suite apartment space, the balcony, and be welcome to wander the gardens and trails to the creek. The fire pit can be used upon request. We ask that guests respect the property boundaries to avoid accessing neighboring properties. Other things to note We cannot host personal pets under any circumstances. This is a non smoking property. Access to “The Birdhouse” is up a flight of exterior stairs. Although we generally expect only registered guests on site, please ask if you would like to have visitors during your stay, and we will approve on a case by case basis as we need to know who is on the property at all times.
