The space The ‘Hamilton House’ is a spacious, downtown row home in one of Lancaster's most historic neighborhoods which was known for the lucrative tobacco production industry. The space hints to a past when things were simpler while highlighting the creature comforts one demands of today's modern spaces. The family room is open and bright, and the gourmet kitchen is spacious and inviting. The living spaces are spacious and the upper loft area are both inviting and include high quality mattresses and linens to ensure a peaceful night's rest. The home is equipped with a smart TV and Xfinity high speed internet to provide travelers the assurance of staying connected. The outdoor area is large and includes an outdoor patio and gas grill perfect for entertaining. The home is filled with afternoon light throughout and offers enough space for twelve guests to enjoy comfortably. The home is professionally cleaned and cared for, and our team is readily available to ensure your stay is the absolute very best. Guest access The Hamilton House is easily accessed by parking in the rear of the home located directly behind Shippen St. (See check-in link). There is ample room for four cars to park in tandem directly behind the other. Once parked, enter through the wooden fenced gate, and follow the path to the first door of the rear of the home. All areas of the home are secure and have outdoor security cameras. The laundry room is accessed by the lower basement door directly across from the rear entry door. Other things to note *** THE BASICS *** a. FIRE EXTINGUISHER - located below the kitchen sink b. EMERGENCIES - Dial 911, then contact Airbnb c. ELECTRONIC KEYED ENTRY - located on the side and front entry doors (see Airbnb check-in link) d. INTERNET/WIFI - high-speed Xfinity internet- Access to Netflix, Amazon, Xfinity through smart TV apps e. CABLE - N/A - Wifi streaming only f. RECYCLING - Yellow lid container located next to the outdoor area. g. TRASH - Place any bagged trash to be thrown away in the receptacles next to the laundry room. If trash can is full, place trash next to receptacles. Garbage & recycling pick-up day is on Sunday evening, and all receptacles should be brought back in no later than Monday evening. h. HEAT/AC - Heating and central air conditioning equipped i. QUIET HOURS - These are old row homes which share walls with neighbors. Please be mindful of quiet hours between 9:00 PM and 8:00 AM, especially when enjoying the outdoor area. j. SHARED AREAS - Patio, laundry and parking areas may be shared with other guests k. ADDITIONAL GUESTS - The home can accommodate up to twelve guests. For the most accurate pricing, ensure the number guests staying in the home are represented in your reservation.. l. PARKING - Four off-street parking spaces are included on-site (see check-in link). Additional visitor parking permits are available in front of the home on Chestnut St. for $2 per day. Please register your vehicle online prior to your arrival at via the Lancaster Parking Authority website. Once registered, you can park at any parking space on the 100 block of N. Shippen St. for the days purchased. *** OF COURTESY *** a. Please tidy up the home so our next guests can enjoy the space b. Notify us of any needed repairs or damages at check-out c. Place dirty dishes in the dishwasher and run d. Place soiled laundry in the laundry baskets e. Kindly remove outdoor shoes in the home. f. Check-out time is at 10:00AM and housekeeping is scheduled at 10:15 AM Please notify us via text once you've exited the home. *** OF IMPORTANCE *** Any of the following violations are subject to the forfeiture of security deposit a. No smoking (or vaping) inside of home b. Up to two dogs are allowed on the premise. A refundable security deposit of $250 per pet is required at the time of reserving the home, and will be billed as a separate service through Airbnb. Upon our housekeeping team inspecting the home at check-out, the security deposit will be refunded minus any damage or additional cleaning charges. Cats are not permitted. c. No events or parties without written permission.
