Historic Masterpiece in Ravenswood Manor

Welcome to Manor House, a north side historic mansion nestled on the Chicago River. Manor House has recently completed a full structural and interior renovation to the main home and basement. A fully custom designed home that looks nothing like other luxury properties or rentals on the north side. Located in the quiet pocket of Ravenswood Manor, Manor House is truly nothing less than an urban oasis with three floors of living and entertaining space, and within a few minute walk of the Brown Line The space Main Level: As you enter the home, the open living room and family room are flooded with light. The 65” Frame tv with Hulu, ESPN, and Disney+ and 5” lineal remote-controlled fireplace is the perfect setting to relax after a day of exploring the city. The space gives way to the dining area and large masterpiece chefs kitchen with double islands, custom Blue Star full double oven commercial range with six burners and a double wide griddle, double dishwashers, and under counter beverage ice machine is a cooking oasis. Full size freestanding Sub Zero fridge and freezer along with the glass door beverage center has plenty of room for all your meal needs. The double islands have seating for eight making for the perfect blend of entertaining and cooking. The dining space, with a custom table that seats 12, in combination with the island seating allows for up to 20 guests to dine together. The artistically designed main staircase provide entry to the isolated master suite or the two secondary bedrooms on the top floor or to the lower level. Upper Level: The isolated master suite provides three walls of windows, each one with room darkening custom window shades. The king bed, night stands, and wall TV with Hulu, ESPN, and Disney+ makes you feel at home when your ready to rest. The Master suite also has double vanities, a 6’ x 8’ Thasos marble shower and a 8’ x 16’ walk in closet with custom shelving and hanging. The other way up the stairs lead to two bedrooms with queen beds and night stands. Both rooms have room darkening shades and closet space for two. The hall bath has double vanities and a oversized custom tiled shower with multi-function controls. At the rear of the home is the laundry area with new front load washer/dryer, detergents and dryer sheets. The rear staircase leads back to the main level kitchen and lower level. Lower Level: Entering through either the front custom staircase or rear staircase leads to an entertaining masterpiece. A full custom stone and glass wine cellar stocked with 30+ choices of wine anchor the custom stone and granite bar with seating for four. The bar has a dishwasher, glass chiller, double door commercial beverage cooler, and microwave. The main seating area has plenty of seating In-front of the massive 80” 4K Samsung with Hulu, ESPN, and Disney+. Just past the entertaining space is a Peloton and small workout area. A queen bed is settup for a sleeping area between the workout area and the entertaining space. The third bathroom with oversized shower and single vanity is towards the rear staircase. A self-inflating Queen EZ bed is available for the lower level and can be set up prior to arrival on request. Each bathroom is stocked with During the Holiday Season, the house will be decorated with a Christmas tree as well as other holiday decorations, making it a perfect holiday getaway! Additional amenities for children such as strollers, cribs, and baby gates are on site in the storage area and available on a fee basis. Guest access There is always something to do in Lincoln Square. There are clothing boutiques, jewelers, and other high-end stores, as well as traditional stores to fit any budgets. With a quick 5 minute walk to the Francisco Brown Line stop, you are able to access every piece of the city. From Wrigley field to the beaches of Lincoln Park. Theater District, Millennium Park, or any other destination, it is all within reach of Manor House. One of our family favorites is Lincoln Park Zoo. Located in Lincoln Park, the zoo is free to the public and includes dozens of walking paths for guests. It is easy for locals to swing through the zoo on a morning jog or attend yoga classes on the zoos boardwalk. There are few urban areas that include gorillas and penguins as neighbors. The park is also home to the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, the Chicago History Museum, and the Lincoln Park Conservatory. Theatre fans will love having a night out at the Steppenwolf Theatre. The famous theatre, which has featured Gary Sinise, John Malkovich, and Martha Plimpton has been putting on award winning productions since the 1970s. One of the most famous productions from Steppenwolf is August: Osage County. Other prominent theaters include the Greenhouse Theater Center, the Apollo Theater Center, and The Murder Mystery Company in Chicago. North Avenue Beach is the one of the most popular beaches in the city. It has a unique 22,000 square foot beach house and amazing views of the rest of the city. There are restaurants, volleyball courts, and kayak, jet ski, and watersport rentals. There is a walking and biking path that allows the public to easily make the beach part of their everyday exercise routine. Other things to note Important note: The grayed out section of the home that shows future bedrooms will not be added to the home. The garage and rooftop are currently under restoration. There may be work being performed in those two areas during normal working hours Monday through Friday. In July, the area will be opened to the rest of the home and the back stairs wil be closed off so the area can be opened to the rest of the home and finished. The main home provides three bedrooms, five beds, and three full bathrooms with a powder room on the main level. This work is projected to be complete by late July 2024.
