Welcome to this wonderfully cosy place, that we proudly call our home. We're located in a peaceful residential neighborhood, dotted with classic red brick houses (Backsteinhäuser) on either side of the road. While the calm surroundings ensure a good night's sleep, you are only 5 min to the nearest grocery store (Lidl) 5 min to the bus stop 15 min to the Old Town (Altstadt) 20 min to the railway station (Bahnhof) and the big, bold and beautiful city of Hamburg is a mere 30 min drive away! The space Every aspect of our home has been thoughtfully designed, every item here has a story, a history or has been lovingly picked up. We believe our style to be classy and aesthetic, and at the same time inviting and lived in as well. Join us on a tour of our home! Perhaps one of the most attractive points of our home is its convenience. As we are situtated in the ground floor, there are just 3 steps and voila! you're home! You can also access our home through our patio in the back (Hinterhof), in which case there are no steps at all. The main door opens to a hallway. What immediately catches one's eye is our lovely, gigantic houseplant and an old fashioned mirror behind it. Pro tip - it's a great place to click an IG worthy mirror selfie;) To the right of the hallway is one huge sweeping space that we've divided into dining and living areas. More mirrors and plants here. The dining area is a mesmerising zone furnished in shades of white, complete with off white infinity flowers. The frames on the wall are artworks and photographs of our own, from places we've been to, things that remind us of home and postcards from our travels. You'll find all the plates, bowls, glasses and mugs you need in the meal safe at the back. The dark brown leather couch in the living room is a place where we spend a lot of our time, lounging in our PJs, enjoying take out, watching Netflix. Our 55" LG OLED television makes watching movies a grand visual experience indeed. In 4K. Now if you happen to be in the mood for some games - GoT fans rejoice! For we've got Monopoly - GoT edition (we're diehard fans, you see). The bedroom to the right of the hallway is a soft, mellow space and gets lots of sunshine streaming in through the windows on beautiful days. The window looks out to a lot of greenery and it's the first thing that strikes you when you enter the room. You have here a comfortable bed and space for your clothes in the simple white mirrored wardrobe. While there are plenty of restaurants in the area to choose from, nothing beats a home cooked meal. Our kitchen cabinets are stocked with all the utensils you may need. The ledge on the right wall is what we like to call our 'breakfast bar'. Large glass jars which we keep filled to the brim with different types of muesli, oats and powdered oats. Our Phillips coffee machine ensures you get the perfect start to your day. The master bedroom lies to the left of the hallway. There's a very big and a very comfy bed that's sure to have you sleeping like a wee babe, a dresser an armchair next to the window that makes for a perfect reading nook and lots of plants again:) Our bathroom, we believe, feels more or less like a spa - heated towel racks, (because who doesn't like fluffy, warm crisp towels?) jars with cotton pads and q-tips, an amazing scented candle, a beautiful frame and a plant. The supply closet has a washing machine, a cordless vacuum cleaner, brooms, mops and Co., and ledges that offer plenty of storage space for sundry items. The highlight of our home though is the beautiful patio. On warm days you can easily while away hours, with a book and a glass of wine, soaking up the sun. The number of events taking place in Hamburg on any given day, especially on weekends - is staggering! You have music festivals, flea markets, theater and opera performances, grill festivals - anything that floats your boat. While most of you may be here to explore Hamburg, we strongly encourage you to check out Hansestadt Buxtehude too! The Old Town (Altstadt) in particular is truly charming and has lots of beautiful majestic, red brick buildings and Fachwerkhäuser. Take a stroll through the Altstadt, enjoy a cup of coffee or maybe a glass of Buxtehuder Wein (wine) in the many quaint cafés here, pose with the Hase und Igel Denkmale. You'll thank us later! So that's our home (and our city) for you! We are fully madly and deeply in love with our place and hope that you'll grow to love and enjoy it just as much, in your short stay with us. Other things to note HOUSE RULES We kindly ask you to read our house rules carefully and keep them in mind during your stay. 1. No parties or events allowed. 2. No smoking inside the apartment allowed. 3. No pets allowed. 4. Suitable for toddlers and children under 12. 5. No unregistered guests allowed. 6. Please don’t eat or drink in the bedrooms. 7. Please respect the noise curfew (22:00-08:00). 8. Please respect check-in(from 12:00) and check-out times(till 11:00). 9. Please take extra care of your keys. Lost keys incur a replacement fee of €50. 10. Please take care of the furnishings. . 11. Please do your dishes. 12. No illegal substances allowed on the premises. HOW TO USE APPLIANCES. Washing machine: The washing machine is in the storage room. The most efficient program to use is the one labeled ‘Mini 30 ’ or 'Buntwäsche Eco 40 degree`. Coffee machine: The coffee machine is easier to use than it looks, we´ll leave the instruction manual on the side, nevertheless.
