The Mangos Hideaway is a very private, 3 bed, 2 bath Bungalow near Historic Downtown Beaufort, the Marina, and the Waterfront. Aside from being a lovely little oasis in the 100 Pines area with a great location, it has a housekeeping staff that consistently keeps our Bungalow spotlessly clean for each new guest. In these crazy times, it's comforting to know that you will be staying in a completely private, sanitary and safe private home, rather than a public hotel with public shared spaces. The Mangos Hideaway is an absolutely lovely Lowcountry 3 bed, 2 bath bungalow home with lots of coastal charm and plenty of beautiful outdoor space to relax on the front porch or huge rear deck. We're family and dog friendly, a 3 minute drive from downtown Beaufort, and only 10 minutes from the Parris Island Main Gate, making it not only a perfect place to stay for your Beaufort vacation, but an excellent family choice for your stay while visiting your Marine's graduation at PI! We are also less than 30 minutes away from the beautiful sandy beaches at Hunting Island, and we provide you with a park pass for free access. Our Bungalow is fully licensed and inspected by the City of Beaufort, and meets all city codes and ordinances. Why is it called "Mangos Hideaway"? It has nothing to do with the fruit! The Mangos are our 5 adorable Grandchildren, that we enjoy so much - They are Meredith, Arianna, Nora, Gabe and Serenity, and we've set up our Bungalow as a fun place for them to visit! The entire Bungalow and the half-acre it sits on is at your disposal for your stay. Our home is available year-round for a minimum 2 night stay, but discounts are offered for stays of a week or more. We are always available by phone or through the app if you need to reach us. Located in the beautiful 100 Pines/Hermitage area of Beaufort, SC, our Bungalow is only blocks from the Spanish Moss biking trail, a three minute drive or ten minute bike ride to Historic Downtown, or a ten minute drive to the beach. We are also only a ten minute drive to the Parris Island MCRD Main Gate if you are staying to visit with your Marine or attend a graduation. Just walking down our neighborhood streets, lined with live oaks covered in Spanish moss, transports you to a totally different world, where folks are friendly, and things are a little slower and more relaxed. Do you have a boat? Bring it! The Beaufort Boat ramp is less than 5 minutes away, and our circular driveway makes it easy for you to bring and store your boat safely on the property during your visit. Downtown Beaufort is a very bike and dog-friendly neighborhood, and is also only a little more than a mile walk or bike ride from the Bungalow. Uber and Lyft are both available in the area if needed. Also, there is ample off-street metered parking by the Beaufort Waterfront, right by the Marina and Horse Drawn Buggy depot. You do need to pay for parking in the Downtown Waterfront area between 11am and 7pm, we suggest you get the ParkMobile app. It's much easier than coins. We are a dog-friendly home. Our Bungalow, and pretty much all of Beaufort for that matter, is very dog-friendly, and we can provide a medium or large kennel, as well as dog bowls and treats. But we do require a few things when keeping your furbaby with us. Regarding our pet policy - First, please do not assume that the fenced in yard will contain your dog... Check it thoroughly to make sure everything is closed and secure, and we prefer you monitor your dog while out there. Also, please have it go to the rear of the back yard for walks, to protect the grass. Second, dogs are to be kenneled when unattended. Please use the kennel when you aren't home. Finally, in order to protect the furniture and beds, please do not allow your dog to jump up on any furniture. Housekeeping may charge up to an additional $50 to clean up excessive dog hair or stains on furniture.
