Other things to note ☆☆ For your initial arrival, please park in the back and enter through the back door. A spare key is located inside so you can use either the front or back door for the remainder of your stay.☆☆ • Lawn care: This property has grass and a small seasonal garden. We have a lawn care service that takes care of maintenance. During particularly hot weather or rainy seasons, the grass may grow a little longer or become dry. There is not a sprinkler system in place. Lawn service times vary between 8am and 7pm, so you may hear mowers and weed-whackers outside at these different hours. Be aware that you may hear neighbors mowing their own lawns earlier or later than these times. • Pests: IF you notice more than one live pest of any kind in living spaces, please let us know. We pay for regular quarterly pest control, and our pest control company will come out for a treatment, if needed. Since this is an older suburban townhouse, it is not unusual to find the occasional critter trying to come in to find food or water (usually ants). You might see an occasional lifeless critter – this is normal and proof that our pest control is doing its job. • Weather: Maryland has all four seasons (sometimes all in one day). We have provided books, games, and a list of indoor activities for you to enjoy. This neighborhood occasionally loses power and internet during storms. There are flashlights and extra blankets available on the property. We recommend purchasing travel insurance in the case that inclement weather impacts your trip. No refunds will be given for weather related events, including power and internet outages. • Snow removal: We do our best to keep up with snow removal, but during blizzard or icy conditions removal may be delayed until the storm has passed. Snow removal applies to sidewalks and walkways only. Shovels and sidewalk salt are available for your use. Alleyways are plowed by the county, and we do not control when plows arrive. If you are parked on the rear parking pad, your vehicle may become stuck during or after a snowstorm. During predicted winter weather, we recommend using street parking in the front and entering through the front of the home. In suburban neighborhoods, it is common for residents to reserve a parking spot they have cleared using cones or chairs. Please be respectful and do not take a spot someone else has dug out.
