Apartment 2 at Villa de Vientos will captivate you from the moment you arrive. It faces the main street and has direct access to the central garden from inside: a springtime garden with a variety of local plants and trees, colorful flowers, hummingbirds, and butterflies, creating a perfect balance between privacy and connection with nature. Its understated, modern, and carefully designed style incorporates local natural woods, fibers, and fabrics, reflecting the distinctive Balamkú® hallmark. It is functionally furnished, fully equipped, and tastefully decorated, designed to make you feel at home throughout your stay. It can accommodate up to 4 people: 2 guests in the bedroom, which has a comfortable queen-size bed and an HD TV, and 2 additional guests in the living room, where there is a sofa bed. The price varies based on the number of guests, starting from 2 people. The apartment is completely private and includes a full bathroom with a hot water shower, as well as separate living, dining, and kitchen areas equipped with a refrigerator, stove, oven, coffee maker, dishes, glassware, and all the necessary utensils to prepare your meals. The only shared area is the central garden, which is directly accessible from inside the apartment. In addition, you can enjoy high-speed wireless internet access (up to 200 MB), ideal for both relaxing and working remotely. Guest access Guests have private and independent access to the apartment, ensuring a comfortable and uninterrupted stay. Upon arrival, you will be given a key so you can come and go freely throughout your stay. During your stay, you can enjoy all the interior areas of the apartment exclusively. The only shared area is the central garden, which is also directly accessible from inside the apartment. Apartment 2 offers street parking, right in front of the property or in nearby available spaces, in a quiet and safe area. At an elevation of 1,455 meters above sea level, it is the highest town in the country, which also gives it a climate that is cool to cold all year round, with winds that pick up in the last few months of the year, prompting people to bundle up, share a steaming mug of artisanal hot chocolate, or open a delicious bottle of wine. In fact, its name in Nahuatl (Apanehécatl), which means “river of winds,” alludes to this climatic condition. The location of Villa de Vientos, two blocks from the central park where a majestic kapok tree provides cool shade for locals who sell plants, handicrafts, traditional food, sorbets, and coffee on weekends, is ideal for walking there and discovering the other charms of this beautiful town. Next to the park stands the Parroquia de San Andrés Apóstol, originally built in 1798, with its iconic dome, which can be seen from almost anywhere and serves as a landmark. Villa de Vientos is the perfect place to stay and unwind in the true tranquility of a small town. From here, you can easily visit the neighboring towns of Ataco, Juayúa, Salcoatitán, and Nahuizalco, which, along with Apaneca, make up the popular Flower Route. This fascinating route stretches approximately 25.7 kilometers (16 miles) through the Apaneca-Ilamatepec mountain range, offering breathtaking views and a variety of ecotourism attractions, restaurants, cafes, and communities renowned for their masterful woodwork, weaving, and natural fiber crafts.
