Tucked away in a valley beneath the San Jacinto Mountains, the property is a hidden gem. The backyard serves as your own private oasis, with lush palms lining the brand new saltwater pool and spa. Between the sun bathing recliners and outdoor couch, you have your pick of how you want to relax by the pool, and of course we provide cute floats so you can relax in the pool, too! Enjoying your meals outdoors is a breeze, as we have two offerings for outdoor dining areas. If you love to watch the trees sway in the breeze, lay back on our hammock under the shade of our tamarisk trees. If you’re feeling more high-energy, pull out one of our lawn games - there’s plenty of room to play! With new velvet sofas and chairs, a gorgeous mural, beautiful chandeliers, a record player, television, and plenty of board games, the main living area is a great place for both fun and relaxation. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances and we’ve supplied all the creature comforts of home to accommodate your cooking needs while you’re here. Each of the bedrooms has its own theme and represents a color of the rainbow. With a mix of vintage pieces, custom creations, and brand new luxuries, each room was designed to wow you in its own way while allowing you to indulge in the comfort you expect for a relaxing vacation. From top-rated bedding to brand new custom-dyed robes to match each room, the owners have poured their love and creativity into every aspect of each room to give you a luxurious and delightful experience. We provide both bath towels and pool towels and use “free and clear” detergent to try to accommodate those with allergies or sensitive skin. The house has two bathrooms, one of which is in the main hallway and the other of which is attached to The Pink Room. You have full access to the brand new washer and dryer, and we supply detergent and dryer sheets as well. We love this neighborhood, Windy Point, because while we are in Palm Springs, we are tucked away in our own private desert landscape. It’s only a 10 minute drive to downtown Palm Springs, but you can also walk to beautiful hiking trails in the mountains - it’s the best of both worlds for city and nature! Windy Point has a more rustic feel than the more manicured aesthetic of many Palm Springs neighborhoods’ landscaping. Our property combines the midcentury modern charm of our butterfly home with the beauty of the desert landscape. While we love Windy Point, and do believe it is aptly named- it can get quite windy here at times. Since we can’t control the weather, we do want folks to be aware that the winds here can be dramatically more gusty than in downtown Palm Springs. Please note: the pool is not heated. We offer an add-on option to heat the pool; please inquire with us if you are interested in this! Pool service is on Wednesday and Saturday mornings. The pool chemicals will always be balanced, but we cannot guarantee the appearance of the pool upon check-in (it's possible some sand or leaves from plants could blow in between cleanings). Additional pool cleaning can be arranged for an extra cost. Please be aware that we do enforce our strict cancellation policy under ALL circumstances. This includes Covid-related cancellations. Last-minute requests to “reschedule” will not be granted. Sleeper sofas: each sofa seen in the living room photos folds out into a bed. As you'll see under the "Guest Safety" section, we do have security cameras throughout the OUTSIDE of the property only. Tampering with security systems will result in a fine, so if you aren't comfortable with this, we're probably not the right place for you! We take Covid and sanitation extremely seriously, and we go above and beyond Airbnb’s recommendations to ensure that everything is safe for you.
