The Hummingbird Mountain House is the perfect, cozy escape into nature and comfort, tastefully appointed by the owner-artist. Unlike other Airbnb properties, this house is not just a rental -- it's a fully stocked, tastefully curated escape that we live in part time. You can expect this to be stocked and set up to an epicurian's expectations. It's pool season! We have a lovely, large, private salt water pool that’s open mid-May through mid-October! The main house is a 1-level ranch built in 1969. Over the years, it's been added to, and today features 3 bedrooms with 1 main bathroom on the main floor, and an additional full bath in the almost-finished basement. The main space features a huge combined living room / kitchen area with a formal dining room. The three bedrooms prong off this space, each with their own charm. The living space has been optimized for full comfort with a 77" tv with surround sound, Sonos in every room, a wood-burning fireplace (wood is free), and a fully-stocked kitchen with sharp knives, all the appliances you could want, and free pantry items for cooking. If you like to cook, listen to music, play games, watch films: this place is for you! For writers and artists: there's a private all season enclosed deck with an ergonomic office space and inspiring views. For athletes, there's a peloton you're welcome to use (bring your shoes!), weights, kettlebells, resistance bands, jump rope and yoga mat; excellent running right outside the house on wooded roads with no traffic, and more excellent trail running nearby. Outside, you'll find more delights: a zip line, basketball hoop, tire swing, deck with a gas-starting coal-burning grill, and a huge, 12-foot x 20 foot salt water pool with depths of 3ft - 9ft. Please text or call if you need something. Set up in the mountains, the house is on a quiet road with very little traffic, about 2 miles from the main road, route 97. We have 1 neighbor beside us you can see, and a house across the street that's set way back into the woods. Otherwise, the area is deeply wooded and very private. It's the perfect mix of privacy but not complete isolation. Downtown Narrowsburg is about a 15 minute drive, perched on the Delaware River, with incredible shops and eateries. There are two nearby grocery stores, each about 10 minutes away. This house is a working and beloved piece of art, consistently updated by artist-owner M. Zassenhaus (IG: @zhaus). It's filled with original artworks, and there is an old industrial barn on the property that is soon to be renovated into a 3,000 sqft art studio and gathering space. Wondering about the name?
