The State Library of Victoria is just a short walk away opposite Melbourne Central Station, Federation Square and Birrung Marr home to events and great meeting places for friends is a walk or short tram ride away as well as the Royal Melbourne Botanic Gardens for some peace and serenity by the Yarra River and so close to the city. If you're after some urban culture, visit Hosier Lane a famous photo spot for Melbournians and tourists and home to some amazing street art, then head to Degraves Street for brilliant cafes and food spots or boutique shopping. Hardware lane will also fulfill all of your brunching needs, with some Insta-worthy meals from cafes like Hardware Societe or White Mojo, or head there for lunch or dinner to visit Asian fusion restaurant Rice Paper Sister or Mediterranean restaurant Miznon.
