Guest Suite in PacHeights, Japantown & Fillmore St

Our 1-bedroom basement space comes with a large bedroom with a California king-size bed, a living room with a queen sofa bed, and a full bath and a wet bar with a compact refrigerator/freezer, microwave, mini dishwasher, toaster oven & sink. We don't recommend it for 4 adults (the sofa bed can feel cramped) but it's great for people traveling with young kids. We use all-cotton Frette sheets and Land's Ends' towels for ur comfort. We live upstairs and try to be quiet but you may hear us. Heating * The unit is extraordinarily well insulated. We have radiant heaters in the bedroom and family room (four control buttons - on/off (upper right); up/down temp (left); and timer (lower right) Entry is through our garage. Because the space is on our bottom floor, it gets some, but not lots of light, however, we have many overhead "can" lights installed. As far as interaction, we are available, but also respect your privacy, so we are flexible! The space is connected to our home but is private. You can enter privately using the garage door, or through our home. You have your own key and are free to come and go as you please. We live upstairs. We personally greet all guests (except on the rare occasion when we are out of town, or you just want your privacy). We have lots of SF guidebooks in the space, and are happy to answer questions about San Francisco. Lots of bus lines service our neighborhood, making it easy to get to Fisherman's Wharf, downtown, The Mission, and just about anywhere else in town. No car necessary! It's also safe and quiet at night. There is free neighborhood parking, which is generally easy except during weekend evenings or if there is an event on Fillmore St. However, please be aware of the 2-hour parking limit Monday to Friday from 9AM to 6PM, as well as street sweeping per the posted signs. Also, when you park in our neighborhood (and San Francisco in general) you should curb your wheels to avoid a ticket, which you are subject to when parking on any grade 3% or more. Curbing your wheels means turning your wheels in such a way that if your car were to lose its brakes, it would roll into the curb. There is a public parking garage at Japan Center two blocks away that charges approximately $22/day. We can also arrange to purchase day-by-day parking permits for street parking from the city for you. They cost $10 per day.
