Welcome to West Kill. Centrally located in the Catskills off Route 28/42. You are located within 15-20 minutes to four mountains, Belleayre, Hunter, Windham and Bearpen. Very close to West Kill Brewing, Phoenicia, Hunter, Windham, Boiceville, Stamford and Woodstock. This home is perfect for anyone looking to explore the area and also relax and enjoy the beautiful mountain views. In front of the home is the West Kill stream-enjoy the tranquil sounds while sitting on the porch and in hot tub. The home is comprised of three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The entrance to the home has no steps. The first floor bedroom has a bathroom with sink, toilet and small shower. This bedroom is perfect for someone who cannot walk up any stairs. Think of this as the perfect place to bring Grandma or Grandpa to or anyone who has a disability or rehabbing an injury. This is one of the few if not the only home in all of the Catskills featuring a no step entry. The other two bedrooms are upstairs. The first bedroom contains a king bed and second has two twin beds. All of the furniture, mattresses, pillows and linens are brand new and carefully selected for maximum comfort. There is a front porch which faces the West Kill stream and is most visible during the fall, winter and early spring. Late spring and summer still has some visibility, the sound of the trickling water is more of what you will experience. Off the porch there is a hot tub with string lights that faces the mountains and stream. It's the perfect place to relax after a day of adventuring and skiing/snowboarding. The tub is left on and kept at 105 degrees for your convenience. There is a cowboy cauldron firepit with five Adirondack chairs streamside and with great mountain views. The firepit also has a grill if you prefer to use wood to cook with. There is also a propane bbq grill with grilling tools in one of the kitchen drawers. The bungalow is located in West Kill off of Route 42 past the Shandaken Pass if you are coming from Route 28 and is just off Route 23A if you are coming from Hunter. This place has such a great vibe. Super cozy home that is a step back in time. Sit on the front porch and listen to the West Kill stream. Step into the hot tub that is step free right off the front porch. Flick on the light switch and enjoy the string lights at night while you relax. There is a cowboy cauldron fire pit and propane bbq for convenient cooking. The home is conveniently located to so many great spots in the Catskills. We are very close to West Kill Brewing, one of if not the best brewery in all. 15 minutes to Phoenicia, 15 minutes to Hunter, 20 minutes to Windham, 20/25 minutes to Arkville/Margaretville, and 35 minutes to Woodstock. If you're looking for a smaller more old school mountain Plattekill Ski Mountain is 40 mins from the home in Roxbury, NY. The driveway has parking for at least 6 cars if you are all meeting at the home. If you're looking for even more to do Cooperstown is just over an hour away and a wonderful place to visit. The Baseball Hall of Fame is well worth the trip and in the offseason (fall/winter) you're likely to be one of the only ones there. 10 minutes to West Kill Brewing, 15 minutes to Belleayre Mountain, 20 minutes to Hunter Mountain, 25 minutes to Windham Mountain. 18 minutes to an excellent swimming area on the Esopus Creek. 10-12 minutes to Clubhouse at Shandaken Inn. 12 minutes to Peekamoose Restaurant. Less than 15 minutes to the Phoenicia Diner and town of Phoenicia. 15 minutes to Woodstock Brewing and Maeve's Place. 15 minutes to Tito's Banditos in Pine Hill. 20 minutes to Bread Alone in Boiceville. 25 minutes to Margaretville. 35 minutes to Woodstock or stop there prior to going to the house to explore. It's on the way up from 87 and only a 10 minute drive once you get off Exit 19.
