Welcome to L'Oustal des Amis ✨ A modern, newly renovated home in the heart of nature, perfect for relaxing or exploring the region. Sleeps six in comfort with plenty of space to unwind. Spacious lounge with fireplace + sofa bed (king) Two king bedrooms, plus bathroom Bright library/office with balcony 🌿 Outdoor dining area, fully equipped kitchen Bedding + towels included Bring your own logs for cosy fires 🔥 South-facing, enjoy the sun all day ☀️ Please note stairs are steep The space Enjoy two king-size bedrooms with bedding and towels, plus a sofa bed that converts into another king-size. The house sleeps six and offers a lounge with a 75-inch TV, a library, office, balcony, and outdoor dining area. Bathrooms are located on the ground and third floors. Please note the stairs are steep. Belcaire is a five-minute walk from Lac de Belcaire, a spring-fed lake ideal for swimming, fishing, and picnics. Local activities include petanque, volleyball, hiking, and skiing at Camurac (10 minutes) or Ax-les-Thermes (45 minutes). In summer, enjoy horse riding, e-bike rentals, and fresh produce from organic farms. Nearby highlights include Roquefeuil’s summer night market and artisanal bread from organic flour. Belcaire also offers easy access to Carcassonne and Foix for history and lively markets. This retreat combines relaxation and adventure in the heart of southern France. Guest access Enjoy the entire house to yourself at L'Oustal des Amis, a tranquil retreat nestled on a quiet street with minimal traffic—just the occasional passing tractor. While the balcony offers a peaceful place to relax and unwind. We offer early check-in and late check-out options for an additional fee of 15 euros each, subject to availability. Early check-in starts from 11:30 AM, and late check-out extends until 2 PM. Please note that we need to prepare the house promptly by 2 PM for our next guests. Please let us know your preferred timings, and we will do our best to accommodate your request. Guests have the option to park conveniently on the main street or up the road near the park, with additional parking available right outside the house for added convenience. Other things to note Belcaire and its surrounding areas offer a wealth of activities and events, making it an ideal destination. For outdoor enthusiasts, paragliding in Roquefeuil provides an exhilarating way to experience the stunning landscapes. Belcaire also hosts various festivals that celebrate local culture and traditions. Must-See Events and Activities Espezel Agricultural Festival: Held in October, this festival showcases the region's rich agricultural heritage with livestock displays, local produce, and traditional crafts. The Hangar: A club on the plateau known for its special music nights, offering a lively atmosphere for music lovers. Esperaza Market: A vibrant market held on Sundays, known for its wide array of local products and bustling atmosphere. It’s a bit of a drive but definitely worth it.
