Peaceful, Private Campsite - BYO Tent!
Description
Pitch your tent or hang a hammock in a cozy meadow or a shady forest on our peaceful little 20-acre homestead. Enjoy the seasonal bounty of our organic farm, including berry-picking, fresh vegetables for purchase from our garden, fruit from our orchard, eggs from our friendly chickens, mind-blowing leaf peeping and majestic hidden swimming holes within a few minutes' drive. Hike the massive open woods behind our homestead and enjoy all of the natural beauty that southern Vermont has to offer. The space We are a 22-acre homestead, growing vegetables on approximately an acre of garden and pasturing a handful of laying chickens (and sometimes other birds) to feed our little family and share with family and friends. We mostly host campers on the less busy half of our property, so that you can enjoy some privacy while still getting a feel for the daily goings on of a little homestead if you so choose. The fruit growing on our property includes apples, pears, asian pears, peaches, quince, pawpaw, raspberries, blackberries, black raspberries, blueberries, gooseberries, grapes, kiwi berries, akebia, goumi, silverberry, currants, and more! Lots of rare and interesting plants to get to know. Raspberries and blackberries are often available for pick-your-own. Please inquire when booking. Extra eggs by the dozen are $6 when available. Occasionally we will be overflowing with certain crops with bounty to share with our visitors. All other seasonal produce will be available for purchase via our produce stand (TBD). We are a working homestead, and we have a free-ranging named Koa. Please do not bring dogs who show any aggression towards poultry, children or other dogs. *** All dogs must be leashed while on the premises.*** Guest access Guests may explore the entirety of our property, from taking a walk through our gardens and picking in our berry patches, to exploring our maintained woodland trails and the water features beyond them. Keep in mind that as a working homestead, we are actively maintaining and reimagining the shared spaces on our land all the time so these shared spaces can look wildly different from season to season and from year to year. Other things to note No bathroom! Outhouse to come. Pack in, pack out for now.
