The space 🏜️ Desert Moon House Tucked among a forest of wild Joshua Trees, Desert Moon House is a private 3-bedroom, 2-bath modern desert retreat on 2.5 fully fenced acres. The home balances design and comfort- airy, uncluttered interiors with everything you need for a seamless stay. Originally built in the 1950s, the villa has been completely remodeled to preserve its mid-century soul. Exposed beams, vintage ceilings, and curated modern-vintage furnishings are paired with local artwork and natural textures to create an elegant yet relaxed desert atmosphere. The living room’s large windows open to panoramic mountain and desert views, filling the home with soft light from sunrise to dusk. The chef’s kitchen features new appliances - electric stove, refrigerator, microwave, espresso machine and coffee maker and is fully stocked with cookware, dinnerware, and essentials. From the kitchen window, you’ll see the pool framed by Joshua Trees. The outdoor dining table comfortably seats six, perfect for long meals beneath desert skies. Two bedrooms offer king beds and the third a queen, all with organic cotton linens and calming views. The primary suite includes an ensuite bath, there is also a private outdoor shower surrounded by nature. Outside, the private pool and hot tub are the heart of the property. Spend the day swimming or lounging in the hammock, and as the sun sets, soak under the stars — the Milky Way often visible on clear nights. The indoor/outdoor sound system, and comfortable seating area make evenings here unforgettable. Located just minutes from Joshua Tree National Park, Pioneertown, The Integratron, and downtown Yucca Valley, the house feels remote yet remains close to everything you might need. High-speed Wi-Fi, individually controlled heating and air conditioning in each room, and thoughtful amenities ensure year-round comfort. Good to Know Pool heating is available [May to September $150/day; October to April $300/day]; spa heating $75 per stay. Pool heating is unavailable during winter months when nighttime temperatures drop below freezing. Pet-friendly for up to two dogs ($150 cleaning fee per pet per stay). Mid-stay housekeeping available upon request and subject to availability. Optional detached studio (queen bed, shared bath) available for $120 per night for up to two additional guests. Other things to note Service Providers - During your stay, you may encounter service providers who help with the maintenance of the home (gardener, pool cleaning crew, etc). Please allow them on to the property to do their jobs. Liability waiver - By making your reservation you and the other members in your party as the guests agree to release the hosts from all liability, including financial responsibility, relating to injuries & personal property damage that may occur during your stay. You understand that the property is immersed in nature and that it is a part of the experience to encounter insects, coyotes and other desert wildlife. You also understand that using the pool, hot tub, hiking on the property is at your own risk.
