It oodles charm with its beamed ceilings, stuccoed walls and fireplace downstairs and the vaulted bedroom with king-sized bed and en-suite upstairs. Much thought has been put into its decoration, with natural furnishings by Rowen & Wren. This is definitely a space for thinkers and romancers seeking a get-away-from-it-all retreat. 4 night stays or more receive a treat. The space The Old Gallery is in the heart of the fishing village of Mousehole just seconds from the harbour but located on a quiet street. The space has been designed for people looking for an escape from the distractions of day-to-day life. It is somewhere to read, write, converse, create and catch up on sleep within the folds of luxury Hungarian Goose Down bedding. There are well kept games in the tall boy including Art Deco Scrabble Edition, Trivia Quiz cards, Playing Cards, Cribbage etc. There is super fast WIFI too and a Smart TV for streaming via your account for BBC iPlayer, Prime etc, (but no terrestrial). All the furnishings are natural and each piece of furniture has been produced by artisan makers. We ask you to respect this by removing your shoes in the cottage and using coasters on all surfaces. Please note, like many traditional cottages, the ceiling height downstairs averages at 6ft 2'', upstairs is vaulted, light and airy. NEW: We now offer 2 night stays at £300 in low season and if there is a gap to fill. Just put in your request to us. This excludes Air BnB and management fees. Sometimes we can offer a single night stay for an orphan day. However this comes at the premium of £200 as our changeover costs are £150. This also excludes Air BnB and management fees. Other things to note Arrival: Usually From 4pm. Departure: Usually by 10am. Please note, we ask you to wait for confirmation from us on your specific check in and check out time as due to our fantastic housekeeper's demand we have to be guided by her timetable. Please put the household cream bin out on Thursday night with a tied black bag of your mixed rubbish inside it (make sure the bag is in the bin so the seagulls can't get at it). Our private contractor will collect the black bag early on Friday morning. We ask that you only deposit one black bag per week. Extra bags will be charged at £6 each.
