Sierra Foothills River Retreat

Enjoy a private guest suite on the Mokelumne river with no cleaning fees and a hassle free stay. Fall asleep to the sound of the river. Sit on 1 of 3 decks to enjoy the scenic views and watch the wildlife. Walk in the river, go fishing, pan for gold. The lower deck on the river has a hammock & 2 person swing. Visit Silver lake, Kirkwood, Big Trees Nat. Park or Lake Tahoe. Go wine tasting, antiquing or hiking. The space The suite has a private entrance. The bedroom and den is more than comfortable for 2 people (which is the max number of guests). Not safe or suitable for infants. The bed is a queen. The half bath is inside and an enclosed shower outside on the private deck with hot water. There is a large tv with streaming available along with hi-speed wifi. There is no kitchen. However there is a small frig/freezer, convection microwave and coffee makers. There is a propane grill/griddle on the deck outside the suite as well as a single induction cooktop. We provide the propane for the grill. They are shielded from the rain. We do any dishes needed to be washed. The suite stays cool on warm days and is heated for the colder months. We have a Nespresso to make expresso or full sized Nespresso coffee. There is both caf and decaf available as well as assorted teas. There is a Solo stove (for bonfire) on 1 of the 3 available decks for those cool evenings or just to enjoy a live fire. We provide the wood. There is no cleaning fee and the hosts live full-time on the property and can address any questions or issues in real-time. We do not saddle our guests with any check out chores other than leaving the space in good shape. We do any dishes or clean any towels as needed There is a whole house generator which kicks on automatically in case there is a power outage. If fishing, a license is required. We do not have any Charging facilities for Electric Vehicles. Guest access Private, Keyless entry. Our guest may take advantage of any 3 of the decks below the house. Parking is available on the driveway a few steps from the suite. The homeowners live upstairs and are available to help at any time. The cheese boards/butcher's blocks displayed in the suite are for sale. Other things to note One of the homeowners is a Jewelry/Metals artist. She has been teaching at The Crucible in Oakland for many years and is set up to teach in her studio. Let us know if this is something you would be interested in.
