Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Located a 10 minute walk or 2 min drive to the beach for exploring some of the best tidepools on the coast. Perfect location for a long beach walk. Walking distance to a bakery, chocolate shop & locally owned fresh seafood restaurant. Only 12 min N to Newport for groceries, Oregon Aquarium, Hatfield marine center & other amenities. 20 min S to Yachats and Cape Perpetua for great hiking. Otter rock <30 min for surfing. Partial ocean view. The space We have a large sectional couch for relaxing inside. We often see rabbits, chipmunks, deer and different bird species from here. We have a peekaboo ocean view from here and you can often hear the waves crashing. Access to Seal Rock state recreation site is walking distance (8 minutes). We have a queen-sized Casper memory foam mattress in the bedroom. Full kitchen including coffee maker, french press and all essentials. The patio area has a large picnic table with an umbrella (seasonally) which is perfect for outdoor dining. We also have a BBQ grill and a tiki bar that contains a small fridge, microwave and sink. We can provide beach chairs, just ask for them to be left out. The back patio is perfect for enjoying your morning coffee as this area gets great morning light. We provide coffee + tea. Please note, we spend a lot of time out here, and some of our personal belongings may be on site (although we do our best to stow away). We come out here to unwind, stargaze and enjoy nature. We hope you enjoy it too. Guest access You will have access to the house, fenced backyard area, hot tub and patio area. Other things to note -Quiet hours per Lincoln county ordinance for short term rentals are 10pm-7am Failure to follow home rules will result in early termination of reservation. Hot tub: If additional cleaning beyond our usual scheduled servicing is needed after your stay an additional charge may be applied for a servicing call out. If you have kayaks or paddle boards Ona beach/Beaver creek is ~5 min north and has 3 miles of estuary to explore. Magic seaweed says that it's argued that more people learn to surf at Otter Rock than anywhere else in Oregon. A user-friendly setup featuring several beachbreak peaks, it’s generally mushy and accessible for those with less experience. Best on a small W swell, there can be rips and strong currents around the rocks during the winter and spring months. Otter Rock will also break on small S swells in the summer months, but those aren’t as consistent. The area does enjoy some protection from the regular summer NW winds thanks to the appropriately named Cape Foulweather.
