Hostel Zwiebel in Santa Ana (4 Bed Dorm)
Cosy little hostel in the heart of Santa Ana. It is created by travellers for travellers, growing with the creative influence of guests from all over the world. Everything is kept simple but authentic, being under constant renovation. You can rent a bed in 4 beds-dorm (bunk beds). The room have a shared bathroom. The hostel provides an open kitchen so feel free to use it after having filled your bags with fresh vegetables and fruits from the local market close by. The space At the moment, I have two 4-bed-dorms (for groups or solo travelers) and a private room with queensize bed (for two friends or a couple), both with shared bathrooms. Everyone is welcome to cook in the open kitchen. It includes a big fridge, an oven, a gas-cooker, a smoothiemaker and a sink. I offer a washing machine for a small tip. At the first floor is a small chill area to hang loose or read a book. Guest access You can use both bathrooms (both have shower, toilet and sink). Please keep in mind, that there is only cold water in the house. But as it’s pretty warm the whole year, the cold shower is quite refreshing. The kitchen is open at any time. Please make sure to keep the noise low before 6 am and after 11 pm, so that other guests can sleep. The chill-area and the balcony is free for everyone. You can sit here and watch the sunset. You‘ll get a key for the front door and your room. Please don’t loose it. Other things to note Some words about myself: I‘m Nelson Alexander, but even my mum calls me „Castor“. I love travelling and languages, speaking Spanish, English, French and a tiny bit of German (hardest language to learn so far;). I spend many years of my life travelling and working in hostels all over Central America and at some point I dreamed of creating a cool place for travellers in my home town Santa Ana myself. Now I have this old beautiful building (and yes, it still needs some time until it’s all done, so don’t expect anything too fancy :D) called the „Zwiebel“, which is German, meaning (Due to my German language challenge and as I love Onions). It’s protected by my very cute 4 year old Labrador „Bush“ aka „the King of f*ckery“. Having worked as a tour guide I like showing people around the city and -if my work schedule allows it- I can join you on trips to beautiful places in the area (like the Vulcan Santa Anna or the Lago de Coatepeque). I‘d like you to make the most of your travels through El Salvador and to have an authentic experience of the common touristic path.
