We love this place because it allows us to nurture connections with family and friends while providing easy access to the surrounding woodlands that we cherish as a source of exercise and renewal. In summer we enjoy dingy sailing at Portage Yacht Club 3.3 miles north on Dexter-Pinckney Road, and swimming at Lake Pickerel in the Pinckney Recreation Area park. The upside is tjat there is a vwry well atocked kitchen with many spices, oils, dishes, cooking gadgets etc. There is ample room for storage as is but in the case of extended stays (1+ month) the removal of personal items is negotiable if required.
