If you are looking for nature, recreation and relaxation in the countryside between farms, fields and paddocks, if you like to swim and feel good in the sauna, if you want to discover the idyllic Schwalm/Nette area by bike or on foot, or if you are just looking for peace and quiet to read or meditate, then our elegantly furnished holiday villa with 250sqm of living space and over 1000sqm of garden with old trees is the right place for you. Parties and dayvistors are not permitted. The space The house has 250sqm of living space divided into a spacious living room with seating area for 6-8 people and access to a 40sqm terrace where you can enjoy the view of the garden in fine weather. The 2-burner Weber gas barbecue on the terrace and the open fireplace in the living room can be used on special request and permission only. A TV with DVD player and Bluetooth connection are available. A well-stocked library inspires reading and an antique secretary invites you to write or, if need be, to work. The fibre optic connection provides a high-frequency internet connection. The dining table seats up to 8 people comfortably and in a stylish ambience. A guest toilet is available on the ground floor. For yoga and Zen friends, the house offers enough space, silence and inspiration in the large bedroom as well as in the living room. An additional highlight of the house is a very well-maintained 8x4 metre indoor swimming pool with a view of the garden, counter-swimming facility as well as sauna (up to 2 hours per day included in the price, extra hours 5 Euro) and relaxation area. We have raised the water temperature which is normally approx. 24 degrees. In the completely and high-quality equipped kitchen in country house style, every hobby and professional cook feels at home. The electric cooker with ceramic hob and oven, the fridge with freezer compartment, the dishwasher, the microwave, the coffee machine, the toaster, etc... are all high-quality appliances. Cooking utensils, spices, coffee, cleaning products, etc. are also provided, as are pots, pans and crockery for 8 people and more. An elegant free-floating staircase leads to the sleeping area on the first floor. The new box spring double beds in widths of 180cm, 160cm and 140cm and the soft down bedding ensure a restful night's sleep. A sofa bed can be extended into another restful sleeping area with good support of 150cm as required. Additional blankets and pillows are available on request. Connected to the large gable bedroom with panoramic view of the garden (no curtains for blackout, temperature during winter 19/20 degrees) is a bathroom. On the same floor there is another well-maintained bathroom with shower and bathtub. The immediate neighbourhood of the house is characterised by agriculture, fields and paddocks. The house itself is situated on a more than 1000sqm large plot enclosed with a fence. For longer stays, we are also happy to provide you with our laundry room with washing machine, dryer, clotheslines, iron, ironing board and sink. We have also written a guidebook for you with meanwhile more than 40 entries on gastronomy, sports, culture and excursions, with which you can also creatively and actively organise your stay outside the house and discover the Lower Rhine. Guest access You can use all unlocked rooms. Access to rooms marked as private/no access or locked is strictly prohibited. When using the rooms, please also remember that they are used privately by us outside of the rental to you. We thank you for your respect. Other things to note Guests are required to fill the registration form up-on arrival according to German registration law. We make every effort to hand over the house to you in a clean condition and ask you to leave it as clean and tidy as you took it after use. We will gladly take care of the cleaning of the linen provided by us for your use. The house is furnished to a very high standard and has a library, collectors' items, a 19th century piano and numerous pictures and pieces of art and furnishings to make your stay stylish and comfortable. All items are recorded in an inventory and are not intended to be taken away. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the house. The holding of parties, bachelor parties or similar events that may disturb the neighbourly peace and expose the house and its furnishings to damage and soiling are strictly prohibited. There is ample free parking space on and in front of the property. There is also a shelter for bicycles brought along.
