Cosy escape in quiet hamlet in Yorkshire Dales

Swallows Nest was newly opened in Oct '22 and renovated to a very high standard. It is nestled in the quiet hamlet of Thorlby, just a short distance from the market town of Skipton in the Yorkshire Dales. Come and take in the stunning views on your doorstep, watch the many garden birds visiting the feeder as you sit and have your morning coffee on the patio. The only thing you can hear is 'quiet'. The hardest thing you will have to do is decide what you want to see or do. The space Attached to the main house but totally independent is the one bedroom cottage which has a spacious open plan kitchen-diner-lounge complete with log burner or under floor heating (its your choice). Up the oak staircase leads to the bright and airy bedroom and large opulent bathroom. The fully equipped Kitchen will enable the chef to rustle up the finest cuisine or a basic 'buttie' whatever is on the menu. Out for the day? Don't want to eat out, why not put on the slow cooker so your meal is ready on your return. Quiet night in? wood burner lit, cosying up on the large comfy sofa. why not order a takeaway? Have a game of cards or read a book or just watch some TV. What's better than a long soak after a days walking, enter the luxuriously tiled bathroom, the bath is huge, big enough for 2 and with relaxing bath salts added its got it all. Prefer a shower? Then give the power shower a try. Then dry off with one of our fluffy towels. The large bedroom is flooded with light from the 3 windows and has amazing views from them all. Ample storage can be found including wardrobe with large drawer and 3 smaller drawers in the 2 bedside tables. A lovely oak dressing table and stool can also be found in the bedroom. From the stunning king size oak bed you have a view over the fields and hills, why not enjoy your first cuppa of the day drinking that in. Swallows nest has 2 areas of seating, the patio area at the front of the cottage is adorned with planted barrels and has a table and chairs. The other seating area can be found by the cottage door, there is a solar light panel on the wall next to the table so an ideal place to take your glass of wine and sit and watch the stars at night. On a clear night we do get an amazing show of the stars as the light pollution is of a minimum. The bird feeder is positioned so its visible from the seating area at the back. Guest access Access to the property is down the side of the house and key is in the key safe to the right of the door. Guests have full use of the cottage and have 2 separate seating areas outside so they can take full advantage of the sun. One carparking space is allocated in front of the cottage for guests. Other things to note Swallows Nest is fed from a spring. Water coming into the house goes through a filter and a UV light and is safe to drink.
