Relax with the whole family at this peaceful lakefront cottage located on popular Clarklake! This three bedroom, 2 full bath property has everything you need to make lasting memories at the lake! During the summer, enjoy swimming right off the dock, or rent or bring your own boat! The lakeside yard is large and flat for all kinds of summer fun! In the winter, enjoy ice-skating or ice fishing, and then come warm up next to the fireplace. No matter the season, there is always something to do! The space Our lakefront cottage is located on the Southwest side of Clarklake, located in southern Jackson County. We are directly on the Clarklake Spirit Trail, a 7.4 mile walking/biking trail that loops around the entire lake. We are close to restaurants (2 are on the lake), wineries, golf courses, and MIS. Our home would work well for large families, two families, or a group of friends looking for an enjoyable lakeside experience! -10 minutes from Brooklyn / MIS -20 minutes from Jackson -45 minutes from Ann Arbor -80 minutes from Metro Detroit Parking: We have 3 spaces (which is somewhat of a rarity on our street!) that guests can use. Please be respectful of our neighbors and only park on the East end (toward the house) - Driveway is marked by a yellow/black line. Lake Front: We have a large flat lot including a fire pit for guest to use as well as a dock ready for your boat. Bedrooms: All of the bedrooms are located on the second floor. The stairs are fairly steep, and there is a handrail leading up the stairs. All bedrooms have lake views! Bedroom 1 offers 1 King bed, and is facing the lake. Bedroom 2 has 1 Queen bed and faces the lake. Bedroom 3 has two different sleeping areas - (we call it a bonus bedroom!) that offers 2 twin beds (trundle that pulls out); and 1 queen bed. Workspace: While we hope you can relax and unplug while visiting our cottage, we understand that you may need to connect to things at home or work. We offer Wi-Fi and a dedicated work area that is located at the landing at the top of the stairs. You can set up your computer right in front of the window overlooking the trees and view of the lake. (it might make work a little easier!) There is also a comfy loveseat that pulls out to a twin size bed for additional sleeping. Bathrooms: There are 2 full bathrooms, one is located on the second floor and has a shower/tub. The other is located on the main floor and has been completely remodeled and includes a stand-up shower. A full-size stackable washer and dryer is also included in this space. Kitchen: We have a fully-stocked kitchen with everything you need -a full-size refrigerator, electric oven/range, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, and dishwasher. A gas grill is also included for those lake-day BBQ's! Living/Dining: We have two 4-seat tables for seating inside, a TV in the living room, and large sectional couch looking out onto the lake. We do have central A/C, but encourage you to open the many windows and enjoy that great lake breeze! Heat/Fireplace: The cottage is meant for year-round visitors, so is a great place to visit in the winter months too! There is a gas fireplace that can be turned on with the push of a button! Wi-Fi is included, and the living room and King bedroom have TV's in them. If you have any specific questions, please ask, we want you to know what to expect and feel comfortable in our home! Guest access Guests will have access to the entire home and lakefront, with the exception of the unfinished basement. Other things to note We have a dock ready for you to bring your boat! If you are interested in renting one, we recommend Eagle Point Marina which offers pontoon rentals. There are two public boat launches on the lake, and the closest one to us is on Hyde Road on the west end of the lake. We love pets, and we know they are part of your family! We allow up to two dogs under 40lbs each for an additional fee. Sorry, no cats allowed.
