Den Lilla Stuga Simple cabin by lake with sauna.

An escape to wild nature and the opportunity for simple living. Come and share in our beautiful tranquil setting, in the middle of a deciduous forest full of animals (deer, moose etc), berries & mushrooms and by a lake. Den Lila Stuga is one of two cabins situated by the side of our main house. There is a simple outdoor kitchen and you will take water from the well or the lake. You will have the use of an environmental friendly composting toilet and you can wash in the lake or take a sauna. The space The self contained cabin contains a 140cm bed and a small table and 2 chairs. There is a small chest of drawers and a few hooks for hanging clothes. You get a great view of the lake! Behind the cabin is the composting toilet and the shower. The shower is filled with water from the lake or hand pumped well and winched up. If using the sauna this water can be warm. The outdoor kitchen with electric kettle, double hob, fridge and Trangia cooking facilities is located behind the other cabin. The sauna is next to your cabin. You can sit and eat in the cabin and enjoy the view over the lake or you can sit at one of the three outdoor terraces ( one covered) each of which gives a beautiful view. Guest access You can enjoy your cabin, the outdoor kitchen, the outdoor shower and the sauna and eat at one of the three terraces situated in the grounds ( one by the lake, one covered porch next to the house and one to the east so it gets the evening sun) Other things to note The adjacent cabin is also available to hire if you want to join with friends or bring children. The cabins are in a forest, tourist activities are limited. It is a place to relax and unwind, enjoy the nature, walk, run, row, read a book, play games, swim, do yoga…. Whatever you need to unwind. We have indoor and garden games and two yoga mats. The water comes from 2 wells. We will supply you with 10 litres of good quality drinking water per day from our deep well. You can get water for washing and the sauna from the hand pump in the garden. However, when the weather is very dry this well can be empty, however there is always water in the lake which is less than 50 meters away. We provide buckets for bringing up the water. It is possible to borrow a small selection of boats; a single kayak, a double canoe and a rowing boat.
