Well appointed lake house just a stone's throw from the public boat launch and ATV/ Snowmobile trails. Enjoy the private, sandy (very shallow) swimming area ideal for young children and relaxing adults. Centrally located for outdoor recreation: whitewater rafting, boating, canoeing on the Kennebec or golf in the summer; hunting, fishing, or leaf peeping in the fall; or ice fishing, skiing, or snowmobiling in the winter. There are also several mapped ATV/UTV trails to explore. We have it all! An assortment of life jackets is provided for safety and convenience. The property features a large front lawn and ample parking for multiple vehicles, including space for a boat or ATV trailer. For peace of mind, there are outdoor security cameras on-site and a full-house automatic generator to ensure comfort in case of a power outage. A nearby general store offers gas, propane, and a small kitchen—perfect for picking up forgotten items, refueling, or grabbing a quick bite. Larger stores and shopping options are just a 20–25 minute drive away. Important Information for Your Stay 🚫 Dock & Water Safety Do not dive off the dock! The water is very shallow. If you’re using a boat, watch carefully for rocks — there are several large ones marked with buoys. The black hose extending into the lake is part of the water filtration system. Please do not disturb it. 🗑️ Trash & Recycling Pickup Day: Wednesday morning Location: Take all trash and recyclables to the old brown shed at the top of the driveway. Place items in the bins behind the door and latch the door afterward to deter animals. 🔥 Firewood Firewood is available at the brown shed for your use. Please take only what you need. Note: We do not provide fire starter or kindling. 🛶 Water Toys & Equipment Located in the brown shed by the generator: 2 kayaks 4 inflatable stand-up paddle boards Paddles and life vests The key to the shed hangs by the front door. Please return the key after use — $50 lost key charge applies. Return all water toys and games to the shed before departure. Safety reminder: Every watercraft must have a life jacket on board. Wardens may issue fines if you do not. 🪑 Outdoor Furniture Dock chairs, table, and umbrellas are for your enjoyment — please treat them gently. Plastic chairs are available for the porch, lawn, and dock. No metal chairs on the dock, please. 💧 Drinking Water The cabin water is lake-drawn and filtered through a high-tech filtration system with UV sanitation. It is safe to drink and tested regularly. 🔥 Grill & Propane There may be leftover propane from prior guests. If the tank runs out, it is the guest’s responsibility to refill or swap at: Vicneire’s General Store (North Anson), or Solon Market (Solon) 🌿 Lawn Maintenance The lawn is maintained every two weeks (Thu, Fri, or Sat, weather permitting). The visit typically lasts under 45 minutes. 🚭 Smoking & Pets No smoking inside the home or on the porch. No pets, please. We love dogs, but unfortunately, no exceptions.
