Our small but spacious 1921 carriage studio with original heart pine floors has vaulted pine paneled ceilings. Full of character!!! The studio feels very cozy and secluded, it overlooks a park, next to Oklahoma Hall of Fame museum & is short walking distance to grocery store, numerous restaurants, coffee shops, events, entertainment. Downtown, Midtown, Plaza District & Paseo Arts, Uptown 23rd, business district and sports venues. Five minute drive to OU Health Science Center. The studio is completely detached from the main house ensuring total privacy and is located in a fully gated/fenced backyard of the main structure a 1920's brick duplex. The Studio is on second floor with Stair Access Only. Sheltered by almost 100 year old trees. Surrounded by big windows, high ceilings, seeming larger than it actually is, fully furnished with quality furnishings and art, comfortable decor, loads of books and super clean. The carriage studio has an efficiently equipped complete kitchen. (Note: I don't have a dishwasher. So that would be you.) Cook if you wish. Put your groceries in the full size refrigerator. There is a french press and Keurig. Coffee various hot and cold tea options in the drawers below the island. There is a toaster oven and a Nutri bullet blender, pots, pans and baking sheets under the island counter. I usually stock the refrigerator, butter, jam, maple syrup. Sometimes other things will show up. We try to check for expirations. Anything in the refrigerator is for you to consume. Extra thick towels, hairdryer, shampoo, magnifying mirror, first aid kit, manicure kit, etc. in the bathroom cabinet alcove. The space can most comfortably accommodates one or two people with a very comfortable Serta FULL size bed. Free, private, high-speed fiber Wi-Fi and consistent connection, especially great if you're here for work. Spread your work out on the well lit large soapstone work space. Yes I splurged!!! Flat screen TV w/Cable. Bluetooth VCR, you can connect to Netflix Hulu, Roku and what I think is a good collection of DVD's . Music - I have a Ihome iHM51 stereo alarm clock that lets you charge and play music your smartphone. Wake and sleep to FM radio or your mobile device. One closet for hanging and the other fitted with shelves for folded extras and luggage. Also a luggage rack and a small pine chest to place your luggage on top with 2 drawers and a place to slip your shoes. There is an iron/ironing board, broom, dust mop in the closet with rod. We have a small gym at our other property The Sieber you can have free access during 7am to 7 pm. Just let me know in advance. For guests with advance scheduling can use our laundry/mud room available for free with a 2 washer/dryer sets. I live in the front duplex and I am available for guests to provide itineraries and places to eat, drink, shop, etc. *The studio is not suitable for small children or pets, too many books & objects at very low reachable levels, and most important, an open staircase. Guest access The carriage studio has an electronic deadbolt and you will be sent the code for your stay. You will have access to everything in the studio as well. Our studio should never be used for commercial purposes without advanced permission. Other things to note If you have a car there is parking available in the museum parking next door next to the landscaped lot. Don't worry about parking there. It is very well lit and secure surveillance with the museum advised. Because of a new bike lane and boulevard no parking is allowed on the street Please don't park in the driveway, it boxes in our cars in garage and my cat seems to park himself in the driveway.
