Splish Splash Water Park is 17 minutes for the kids. Long Island Aquarium in Riverhead is 20 minutes, excellent on a hot afternoon. Evenings on the deck with the BBQ running and the water turning gold. FALL North Fork harvest season runs September through November, one of the best wine regions on the East Coast. Macari, Croteaux and Paumanok vineyards all within 25 minutes. Windy Acre Farm: pumpkin picking, hedge maze and playground. Farm stands stay open late into October with squash, apples and cider. Boutique breweries in Riverhead worth an afternoon. The beach is empty. The fireplace gets used every night. WINTER Port Jefferson ice skating rink 20 minutes away, a reliable hit with kids. Cross-country skiing available nearby when conditions allow. The chef's kitchen comes into its own: long cooking sessions, slow mornings. La Plage, 5 minutes away, open year-round. Baiting Hollow Scout Camp and Future Stars open spring sessions. Trail biking, beach walks and horseback riding all accessible locally. Sound Avenue farm stands reopen mid-April with seedlings, flowers and early produce. YEAR ROUND Beach walks, biking trails, hiking in local parks, horseback riding and a must-visit local cheese shop. A NOTE ON EVENTS We're asked about weddings and events regularly and we wish the answer were different. Shoreham is a close-knit residential community and we're committed to keeping it that way. What we can offer is a private, beautiful setting for the right group to celebrate together well. Unhurried dinners, milestone occasions, the kind of gathering that doesn't need a production to feel significant. That, we do exceptionally well.i Guest access This is a great relaxing house perfect for groups Come & enjoy the heated pool, beach & water views from every room. Cook in the huge chef’s kitchen or don't move for a week & just chill out! Lots to enjoy locally with wineries, farm stands, vintage shopping, beach walks, hikes and plenty to do with children. Walk to the deck to relax with a book. Swim in the heated pool. Take one of our umbrellas down the path to our private beach to spend the day reading, napping and swimming. The local shops are a less than 5 minute drive with a great pizza place, sushi restaurant and an awesome bar/restaurant as well as Trader Jo's around the corner. Within 10 minutes drive are plenty of supermarkets, farm stands, cute cafes, seafood stores etc We are 30 minutes to Hampton Bays and 30 minutes to a waterpark for the kids. We love Windy Acre Farm for berry picking & playgrounds for children plus the carousel at the local shops. Plenty of parking in our driveway. Other things to note PRACTICAL DEATILS Minimum booking age is 30 This is a Quiet residential neighbourhood. We love our neighbours and observe noise rules and expected guest to do the same. The guest who books must be present for the entire stay Guest numbers must reflect actual attendance For security and insurance purposes, a copy of photo ID is required within 48 hours of booking for the primary guest and all adult guests staying at the property. Booking details must also be finalised through our Airbnb-approved third-party booking manager. Failure to complete this process may result in cancellation.
