ONLY 14kms from Adelaide CBD and although the VILLA's are only 100m off the main road, you are immediately immersed in nature, overlooking Totoka's 20+ acres with views to the ocean.  Upcycled shipping containers have been meticulously crafted with solid wood ceilings, stone floors, red gum benches (reclaimed timber from the Cuddly Creek 2019 bushfires), long bath with views to Glenelg, double shower, extra long KING LuX bed,  to create distinguished contemporary luxury blended with urban country vibes — TWO Villa’s JUST for you!  Location & slope of villa is restrictive therefore a full ‘accessible’ accomodation closer to the homestead is IN PLANNING STAGES already! With date nights few and far between, it’s a great opportunity to take the time to reconnect. You can do as little or as much as you like, with many experiences offered as upgrades or simply enjoy sunsets over a warm winter outdoor fire, regardless Totoka is simply a magical escape! With a large window above the bed — where a TV would have been — there is no choice but to relax, immerse in wildlife, and soak up the sunshine, not screen time. The magical view of Adelaide’s endless coastline meeting the sky is best enjoyed while relaxing or walking the 'Possum Trail' — a beautiful short scenic walk where, by day, you can see possum release boxes (as part of our partnership with SA Wildlife Rescue). By night, the trail transforms into a sanctuary of nocturnal wildlife. You can book a Night Walk Experience and assist owners in a fauna survey as part of responsible wildlife release practices. Walks after sunset are not permitted unless part of a booked experience. TOTOKA percolates dedication to SA small businesses, being home to multiple family ventures based at the homestead (essential for years when in drought and NO honey). One venture is TUF COFFEE, where we roast certified organic and fair-trade coffee. Our villa is designed for a romantic getaway: unless you contact us to assist, book the free farm tour, or upgrade with a paid EXPERIENCE such as a flavoursome Coffee immersion, massage or wildlife walks, we leave you in full serenity to enjoy your own company. Across the grounds, 'The Homestead' (the owners’ private residence) is fenced to ensure the VILLA maintains FULL privacy. Please note, if venturing outside the villa onto the mapped Possum Trail, you will be entering shared spaces and may cross paths with owners or farm staff. IDEAS during your stay at Totoka: * Pack up your grazing goodies in the picnic bag provided and walk the 'Possum Trail' to the 'Koala Rest' (map provided) to have your afternoon tea truly immersed in nature OR simply relax in Aroha on the ottoman with your platter! * Wake and cook up a storm; TUF Eggs, SA organic nitrate free Bacon, organic seasonal produce, sourdough, TUF organic jam, TUF Granola and organic SA dairy milk! PLUS TUF Beans/tea/raw cocao. * Relax with a book in the long bath overlooking bushland to Glenelg. * Upgrade to a 'coffee tasting' experience to get your caffeine fix in our wholesale roastery on the farm. See 'Experiences' for description and price. * May-September enjoy an open fire with wood provided at a private fire pit (see YouTube welcome video for information). Smelling the sunshine or dancing in the rain, nature is true medicine with no shortage of fresh air at TOTOKA. Even when it rains for days and the farm is fogged in for weeks, the magic that beholds TOTOKA is indescribable. Most welcome to exit/enter property at any time, no restrictions except for noise between 10pm-7am. * Any concerns prior to booking, please contact Adrianne at Totoka Urban Farm * Multiple Night Stays - lunch/dinner is NOT included in standard price (unless WELLNESS RETREAT or STA NDIS booking however full kitchen facilities available. If flying in from interstate lunch can be negotiated upon individual request. * NO smoking (including vaping) is permitted on TOTOKA private property. Care is essential when on our property being in a high-risk bush fire zone and wellbeing of native fauna. * Visitors & Pets are NOT permitted, max 2 persons per stay. * When walking on 'Possum Trail' please ensure closed in shoes as the mini beasts/reptiles may enjoy your toes and their bite comes with a bang which we encourage to avoid! * Adrianne and David are both first aid trained (ex-teacher and ex-police) and stress importance staying on the Possum Trail, only walk the trail along by day, as deviating lower into our dense bushland or walking after sunset is NOT PERMITTED! There are many hazards and we are ensuring we protect YOU AND our wildlife with limited footprints. * Full refund or transfer of accomodation as per T&C's on declared 'Catastrophic' Fire danger days when Totoka is closed.
