Description
This house sits on a quiet street. It's a one-acre lot and is a great retreat from busy life for those who would like to experience the beauty of Central Oregon with the comforts of home. This is not a party house There is absolutely no walking on neighbor's properties - no noise after 10pm - no walking dogs without a leash. These things go without saying, and most guests have been great, but we need to state this, as our HOA may take away our privilege to rent, if the rules are broken :-( The space The house is large. We call our place a cabin, as it is rustic and not contemporary (Built in the 70's). Comfortable and clean, while not fancy ;-) We hope the photos make this clear. Though we find the neighborhood is very quiet. You are five minutes from Sisters. Lots of good walks - Especially right across the highway to the "Pioneer Graveyard", as we used to call it growing up (Camp Polk Cemetery). Another option is straight up the hill in front to that neighborhood. Guests should note that bedroom 3 with the bunk and trundle can sleep 3, but is best suited to teens or younger. Guest access We ask that unless you are paying for extra guests (more than 4) you keep the basement bedroom unused. We consider it our overflow bedroom. Though, if you would rather stay there, you can, as long as another bedroom remains untouched ;-) Other things to note There is a small highway to the south of the cabin which does create some daytime noise. We do have a blow up mattress and a cot, if there is need from more sleeping space and someone is willing to do that. If so, a sleeping bag would be a good idea :-) No sleeping on the trampoline. Also: THIS IS NOT A PARTY HOUSE. Please be respectful of neighbors. It is a very quiet place. There is little to no late night activity. No walking on neighbors properties, and always leash your dog outside. We live in an HOA, and if our guests do not respect the neighborhood standard, we can lose our privilege to rent our home.
