This unique house is just minutes from the historic colonial town of Teror and beautifully blends heritage, comfort, and sustainability. (We’ve installed solar panels! 😊) The space 🏡 The House Built in the traditional Canarian style, each room has its entrance from the outside, offering independence and privacy. The layout includes: • 2 en-suite bedrooms on the upper level, accessed via a balcony (including the one on this listing) • 1 en-suite bedroom on the ground terrace level • A communal kitchen / living area on the ground floor, fully equipped with essentials, a large dining table, and a cozy seating area The en-suite bedrooms are thoughtfully designed—spacious, stylish, and exceptionally comfortable. On the ground floor, the shared space features an open-plan, fully equipped kitchen with all the essentials for cooking, as well as tea and coffee-making facilities. There's a large dining table for shared meals and a cozy living area with a comfortable sofa and armchairs. Outside, the beautifully arranged terrace invites both quiet reflection and lively moments with friends or family, all while taking in the stunning views. 🌄 The Surroundings Nestled within tranquil surroundings, La Casa de Arriba offers breathtaking panoramic views. To one side, fertile valleys stretch out to meet the sparkling sea on the horizon; to the other, volcanic slopes rise steeply, covered in lush vegetation, leading your eyes upward to the island’s highest peak. Whether you seek rest and relaxation or an active base to explore Gran Canaria’s natural wonders, this home provides the perfect setting. 💬 About Us We are Nathalie (French) and Lucien (French-Swiss), passionate travelers who fell in love with Gran Canaria and La Casa de Arriba as soon as we arrived. After more than a year dedicated to carefully restoring and remodeling this historic house, we are thrilled to welcome guests to share in its beauty and tranquility. Our goal was to create a warm and inviting retreat where visitors can feel at home while discovering the island’s rich culture and stunning landscapes. Guest access 🔑 We personally welcome our guests upon arrival. Check-in times are very flexible and can be adjusted even at the last minute. We just appreciate a heads-up on whether you plan to arrive in the early afternoon, later in the day, or in the evening. ❓ If you have any questions or need clarification before booking, don’t hesitate to reach out, we’re happy to help! During your stay 🙋🏻 We live in the adjacent house and are always happy to help if needed, while remaining discreet to respect your privacy. We know the island very well and are happy to share tips on everything from hiking and surfing to sunbathing and dining out. 🇬🇧🇫🇷🇪🇸🇩🇪 We speak English, French, and Spanish fluently, and also a bit of German too. 🥾 If you're interested, feel free to ask for details—I'd be happy to accompany you as a guide on a hike or excursion. Other things to note 🐱 We have two friendly cats, Harry and Grisette, who live with us on the adjacent property. While they may occasionally wander onto the terrace in search of cuddles, they never enter the rented rooms—helping us keep the house allergy-friendly. We kindly ask guests not to feed them. 🧺 The washing machine and dryer is located in our private home. If you need to do laundry, just let us know in advance and we’ll be happy to arrange for you to use it.
