Lovely large private bedroom in a fab Victorian family home, in central Worthing. You will be amazed how close you are to the action (beach, pier, theatres, music venues, town centre, pubs & bars, train) and yet so quiet & peaceful. The room is sunny & light, with access to a lovely shared bathroom. Perfect for a single occupier or a couple, as long as you are happy to cuddle up in a small double bed. It’s a little narrower than a standard double at 120cm wide (FYI: a double is 135cm wide). The space The room itself is large and bright, with a small double bed, dressing table/desk, 32” TV with on demand channels, hairdryer, towels, iron & ironing board, tea/coffee. Being south-facing, it can be warm so there is a small fan to keep you cool if you need it. The property is a gorgeous Victorian terrace house in central Worthing, with a south facing courtyard garden. Free parking is available on site but please let me know beforehand so I can ensure the drive is free. If needs be, I can offer you permits for on-street parking. The room is on the first floor, so there is a flight of stairs to manage, and the bathroom is directly next door. I have 1 cat, Betty, who is very sweet and friendly but she will probably just stay out of your way. Guest access You will have your own private room, overlooking the garden. There is only one family bathroom but it’s right next to your room. We will try to give you priority with the bathroom in the mornings if you let us know when you need it, we will work around you as much as possible. Breakfast (upon request only): i can provide a basic breakfast of toast and a small selection of spreads and possibly some fruit. If you would like something more substantial, there are plenty of wonderful cafes within a 10-15 minute walk. Happy to provide fridge space for your milk, yoghurts etc. There is also a very mini fridge and kettle in the room and tea/coffee (plus decaf). Otherwise, access to the kitchen at other times will be limited (but not completely out of bounds). As previously mentioned, there will be some space in the fridge for your food and drinks and please feel free to use the microwave to heat up food as required. You can use plates, cutlery etc as required but please eat any plated food at the kitchen table and not in the room. Tea and coffee making facilities are available in the room. There’s a selection of ordinary and decaf tea, coffee, sugar and a mini fridge to keep your own milk cold. Access to the south facing garden depends on circumstances but please do ask. During your stay I live at the property with my family and so will be available, either in person or via mobile if I am out. Other things to note Things that I want to draw your attention to before you decide to book: I have a cat. The bed is a small double - great for a single occupier and cosy for a couple. Please make sure you are happy with this before booking if you are a couple! The combi boiler is in a cupboard in the room. It is new, so very quiet. The bathroom is shared with the family so the best way to manage mornings is to have a chat the night before, about when you will want to use the bathroom and we can work around that. Please let me know if you would like me to provide a basic breakfast of toast and jams/marmalade. There is tea and coffee making facilities in the room. I am happy to offer you a shelf in the fridge for anything you’d like to keep cool and you can use the microwave to heat up food as required. I am usually here to welcome you at the start of your stay, but if not, there is a lockbox for access. Please let me know your ETA when you book if you are able to. Please ensure you will arrive by 10pm latest on the first night of your stay.
