Vera Sunset is located on the Mekong river bank , around by peanut field. inside the island is full of rice fields and buffalo It's peaceful and quiet place, nice Sunset and good view on the Mekong river. Dear friends Please come and  visit authentic and smile village on unique island. Our Bungalow is located on the island called Don Nangloy . It is new one of 4000 islands( Lao southern part ). You will enjoy during your stay with Mr. Phonephet, which was a Monk over 10 years and english speaking, will introduce you to the Island, Lao culture, lao lifesyle and Buddhism. We’re a local family here in Don Nangloy, living right at the edge of the island surrounded by peanuts fields and stunning mountains. Our bungalows are right in front of the Mekong river which makes sunsets ever better! As our island is not a touristic spot we’re are the one and only guesthouse here. Days are slow and extremely peaceful, our place is perfect for relaxing on hammocks, some yoga, meditation or a nice swim. It’s the perfect place to take a break! Our house is right behind the bungalows,you will so be able to spend plenty of time together with my family, we will share our cultures and traditions with you. We don’t have a fix menu, every day we offer our guests a fresh and different meal depending on what’s on season. (Vegetarian options) Everything we cook mostly come from the island, which makes our dishes organic and delicious! + Accommodation - Room $10 per night for 1 bungalow. - Food is $8 per person for 3 meals, drinking water, coffee and tea all the day. if you are coming as 1 guest and not couple I would like to give you a discount. 3 meals, coffee and tea for $7 instead of $8. There are several differente walks you can do on the island, you will be able to see how people hand make boats. You will walk trough few villages, schools, temples and rice fields. It will be a really authentic experience, locals are not that used to see tourists here and they will be extremely welcoming! I also run a school project right In the garden of my Homestay. I host volunteers to teach local kids English and give them an opportunity to grow and learn. You can see the lessons and also play with the local kids at the end. The bus leaves from Pakse 2 times 9 am, 11 am. Fare 60.000kip. 2. By local bus from Dondet you need to get on a bus in Nakasang. The bus leaves around 8 am. Fare around 50.000kip. The bus heads to Pakse and drop you on the halfway at Thapho intersection . from the main road to ferry boat is 3,6 km. From there you can hitchhike, take a local bus for 10.000kip or a private taxi for 20.000kip. From the port you take the ferry boat to Don Nangloy directly to Vera Sunset bungalow, Ferry boat service to bungalow 60.000kip per person, 00.000kip each for 2 person and more.
