Our lakefront home gets you close to nature with fishing just a step away, bird watching with a hot cup of coffee while sitting on the front porch, or drifting away in one of our shore-side swings while watching the sun glisten across the lake as it sets! Come rest and enjoy a piece of lakeside peace! The space Get ready to relax! Our home sits on a panoramic peninsula that offers a complete and beautiful 180 degree view of the lake. With several swings along the shore, grab a seat and drift all your worries away! We are located in a cove adjacent to the Swearing Creek area of High Rock Lake which offers our guests a less busy dynamic to lakefront property. In other words, you can expect the lake will be less busy with watercraft and farther spread-out neighbors. This also means that in the winter months, our cove of the lake may look more like a creek as High Rock Lake is a man-mad lake used for energy production for our local community and the water may be low depending on rain levels. Our home sits down a long, gated driveway away from the road yet only 5 minutes off Interstate 85. We always joke about having cows in our front yard and the lake in our backyard (though the cows aren't ours but belong to the local farmer and his farm that adjacents us) Our home is a quaint 1,000 sq ft. one-bedroom, one-bathroom with generously spaced rooms. We hope you'll find comfort in our King sized bed in the master bedroom, an evening next to the wood fire, a meal shared in our fully updated kitchen, and a night with your family and friends as we have a pull-out double bed in the living-room. (Wood and all kitchen utensils, including silverware and plates, are provided for use.) This home can comfortably sleep 4 (2 in the King BR, 1 on Double Bed, 1 on couch/recliner). We DO NOT deem this property safe for children under 14yrs of age or older adults with balance issues as the front steps are very uneven since made of stone and the indoor fireplace is made of stone with sharp edges. Fishing poles, kayaks, and life vests are all welcome for use. There is also a gas grill. This property is pet friendly with a 2 pet maximum unless otherwise communicated with host. There is a dog run outside if needed. Pet approval must be communicated. Guest access During your stay, the entire home is privately yours!
