Description

Escape to the country for a weekend getaway or stop overnight on a work trip. This elegant space is well equipped and comfortable for a single or couple. The kitchenette includes a small fridge, microwave, air-fryer/grill, a hotplate and Nespresso coffee machine. A selection of snacks and a self-catering breakfast basket is provided for you to enjoy during your stay. You’ll rest easy in the queen bed with luxuriously snuggly mattress topper. (Single fold-out available for a child.) The space Your room is in a private space which is in the same building as my photography studio. I'm planning to hang some photos and artworks on the walls, which will be available for purchase. The kitchenette will allow you to prepare snacks and tea or coffee, and breakfast is supplied. Although the room is designed for two, we give you extra coffee cups and cutlery/crockey in case you have friends over for a drink or meal. The ensuite bathroom has a shower and separate toilet. Guest access Your room is large enough to dine, relax, work, sleep and dress, and even to entertain a couple of friends. There is a small outdoor area with a coffee table and two chairs where you can sit for drinks or breakfast if the weather is right. During your stay I live on a farm about 15 minutes from town. However if I am in town I will drop in and say hello. If you need help while you are staying, please phone me rather than texting, as the mobile reception is dodgy on the farm, and I may not receive your message. Other things to note LOCAL DINING The Darkan Hotel has great meals for lunch and dinner, but is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. It is very family friendly, and especially at lunch time it feels more like a cafe than a pub. There are several different dining areas, including a restaurant area, bar area, and al fresco. The Darkan Roadhouse opens daily, and does take-away or dine-in meals and snacks. Traditional roadhouse fare is available, as well as Indian dishes and curries. The Great Awakening Cafe in Burrowes Street is open from 6:30am, and serves morning and afternoon teas and lunches, including a small selection of gluten-free options. The cafe is closed on Mondays. There is a grocery store (Fleay's Store) in Darkan but it has limited supplies, and only gets fresh deliveries once a week. Your kitchenette includes a small grill/air-fryer oven, a microwave, and a hotplate so if you prefer to self-cater you are welcome to bring your own supplies and cook up a storm. (If you’re using strong spices please open the door and don’t forget to pull out the exhaust fan.) Registration Details STRA6392I5QLUTLV
