Minimalist cottage near forest

This minimalist cottage is simple and convenient, next to a forest and with a view of the mountains beyond the road (the cottage requires taking care of the fire to maintain the heat). The ground floor is composed of a small living room with open kitchenette, wood stove and a bathroom closed by a curtain. Upstairs: the attic sleeping area. We produce electricity from the chalet, try a conscious, responsible stay. Homes nearby. No smoking indoors. The space Self-contained chalet in electricity, not connected to the network: electricity produced only by solar. As we produce electricity for the cottage with that of our house, energy-intensive appliances such as heating blankets or hair dryers, raclette machines or other appliances producing with electrical resistances are to be avoided. The heating is only wood-fired and the garbage cans are by weight. The chalet is not expected to be heated before you arrive. A paper guide is waiting for you on site for basic use. We have a double bed and a single bed on site; a cot remains available upon request. No smoking inside and you may have to cut some wood if you consume more than we have prepared. Pets are not allowed because the floors are soft wood. Please note that the staircase is steep and not compatible with mobility issues. Hot water is provided by an instant gas water heater. Gas stove and fridge on site but no oven. Sheets, towels and tea towels provided. Please put used sheets and towels in the bathroom upon departure. Cleaning fees are only for washing sheets and towels. Please keep the accommodation clean (toilet, gas stove, floors, surfaces, sink, etc.) Guest access The entire property is available, the cul-de-sac leads to the forest. A parking space is reserved for you behind the chalet and/or under the carport. Please note that vehicles may need to drive behind the chalet (neighbor, forester, town hall) The accommodation is not accessible by train or public transport without having to walk 20 min. The nearest stop is Saint Marguerite (Remomeix) Other things to note The staircase is steep and the heating is exclusively wood: that's why below the age of 2 it can be complicated, even above a certain age, or with mobility problems. The wood of the floor of the chalet is soft so it wears out quickly, please take off your shoes, thank you in advance. We have a French press and a kettle to heat up on the gas stove. There is a gas stove and fridge but no gas oven or microwave. Cleaning fees are only for emptying garbage cans and washing sheets. Please leave the place as you found it :) . The cottage is potentially hot in summer and cold in winter, be sure to equip yourself accordingly. Two nights minimum with no possibility to reduce to one night after booking, thank you. Please do not smoke or light candles in the accommodation.
